"Unable to start program 'http://localhost:1443/Default.aspx'.
The system cannot find the file specified."
I am stumped here and cannot find anything out there with this error.

Aug 28, 2010i have two solutions, 1st one is webapplication, 2nd one is website.
the 1st soltions (webapplication) includes aspx pages, user controls .... etc.
the 2nd solution (website) also includes pages, user controls ... etc.
now i need to combine between those, so i copy the webapplication inside a folder in the website, and i put the DLL's for the webapplication inside the main Bin folder, and the theme's like so.
but after that, i make some changes in the source code of webapplication, i build the solution, but the new source code updates doesnot appear in the run time !!!! its still running the code before i make combination !!
does that because i make the 1st solution as a webapplication ?
how can i convert the 1st solution to a webapplicatoin? or in other words how can i make combination between webapplication and website to run as one solution?

Visual Studio - Finding Ways To Make Build Faster / Trying To Improve Edit-Compile-Test Loop
Mar 17, 2011When I'm building my web project it takes about 20 seconds to compile. Then when I try to browse to a web page in project, asp.net does its runtime compilation(another 20 seconds). I know I can't escape these steps because thats how asp.net works, just want to see if anyone has some kind of optimization to make these builds faster.

Jul 28, 2010I just recently upgrade my asp.net web project from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010. The upgrade was successful with no problems however im missing some features with this project. The One Click Publish feature(which is greyed out) in the header area of Visual Studio 2010 and the Add Config Transforms feature which is no where to be seen when you right click on web.config. When i create a new web project straight from visual studio 2010, these options work fine.

Mar 9, 2010Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.

On the x86 machine, several assemblies are located in Program Files, and the path of the assemblies are shown as c:Program Files...... When I move this project to the x64 machine, the same assemblies are located in C:Program Files (x86).... Is there a way that I can confugure VS2010 so I don't have to manually change the path when I move the project from one machine to another?

In my investigating i have come across number of tools(shown below) to use with Visual Studio 2008 professional
Development tool:- Visual Studio 2008 professional using Subversion as source control tool. Continuous Integration:- Hudson or Cruise control Build tool:- NAnt Testing:- NUnit, Selinium As Visual Studio 2008 can be used for unit testing I think NUnit is out of consideration.
In the same way i would like to have any other tools/add-ons to Visual studio to implement continuous integration, building and unit testing. This process should be automated such a way source code between team members is continuously integrated, built and unit testing is done as configured.
Objective is to use few number of tools as add-on to Visual Studio or achieve most from Visual studio itself (example unit testing). Visual Studio should be all in one tool.
I am aware that Team Foundation Server best suits my requirement, but it is out of scope due to its cost.

It was working fine for months & i formatted my comp & when i tried to reinstall it is not getting installed !

I'm able to use Visual Studio & i'm able to work in it....
I'm re-installing since 2 days for more than 4 times...
