I got an error of 'RadioButtonList4 is not declared' when putting the codes below in a formview, but the codes can work well in a normal aspx page. Does it need special declaration in formview?
<script runat=server> Public Sub CheckSession(ByVal source As Object, ByVal args As ServerValidateEventArgs) Dim Item As ListItem
I have never used skins before, so I went online and found some samples. I am trying to get ANY skin to work, so I have an incredibly simple site, a master page, the default.aspx, the skin file. I am missing something because as near as I can tell my skin file is set up correctly and I THINK I am doing it all correctly, but the skin file / contents seems to be ignored. Here is the master page, all I am trying to do is change the colour of the submit button. I figure once I get the skin recognized the rest should be easy...
[Code]....
My default.aspx has NO changes to it. I created a new one added nothing so I am not displaying it here. In my App_Themes directory a new folder called 'First' was created. In that folder is a file called 'First.skin'. The contents of First.skin is: [Code]....
Maybe there is something in the web.config that the people who made the samples assumed I would know about... not sure.
I have three drop down lists that are all databound to a gridview. When the user selects 1. a school, 2. a house number, and 3. a street from seperate drop down lists, bus stops for that address are displayed in a gridview. Everything works fine. After the user selects a valid school/house number/street combination the gridview automatically displays. I would like to add a "Submit" button and not have the gridview display until this button is clicked.
I have a formview that displays user info from a dropdownlist. One account may have many users, but one account Primary. I am trying to disable the Edit/Delete button in the formview if the selected ID is the account primary. The problem I get is this.
Step 1: page_load - the primary user is displayed by default, but the delete button is enabled - not right
Step 2: I use the dropdownlist to select another user (not the primary) - everything's fine
Step 3: I then select the Primary User, the Delete Button is disabled - perfect
Step 4: select another user, delete button still disabled - Not right.

1. As you can see my sqlSelect Parameters are bound to the DropDownList.SelectedValue, but is t seems like my if statement for comparing selecteduser to varAdminID doesn't work except once.
So to help debug, i added a label control that displays the selected userID, but on page load the label is blank. but it displays the first record on the list anyway. so if this is the reason for not disabling the delete button on page load then why later does it not reable the button when the user is not the primary, and the UserID is displayed on the label and it is not the primary userid?
have a CustomValidator that I am trying to use. I have a couple Validation groups so I set those 2 different groups up in my case. The CutomValidator is validating the field when I click the button and it puts out the error message however its letting the button event insert the data.
I have a web app that uses a form view to collect some user info that inserts into a SQL database.
when run locally from VWD this works fine so i know the insert statement is correct.
when deployed to an IIS server my SQL insert doesn't work i don't get an error but the data is not inserted into the DB. I can run selects and deletes ok from the server its just the insert that doesn't work.
I have had a DBA check the database and the user my application is running under is DBO so has the correct permissions.
We've run SQL profiler and can't see the inserts reaching the DB.
can anyone point me in the right direction of where to start troobleshooting this?
my web site is running on windows 2008 R2 so i can't install Front page extensions so can't open the web site from my local machine to try to debug.
Sample code below. Either I am doing something wrong or missing something in 4.0.
1: The function CheckText fires upon button click in IE but not in FF. 2: The function CheckText fires upon button click in IE /FF when the site runs under 2.0 or 3.5.
Initially I am doing validating form by clicking on btnOK and in btn_Submit I am inserting record into table. I again want to call btn_Ok event in btn_Submit click event for re-checking validation, if it validates properly thne rest of code of btn_submit should work.
I have an html button that makes a certain action and i have two "asp:textbox"I want the html button to be triggered when the ENTER key is pressed on keyboard.
I have a problem with the ASP FileUpload control. It occurs in Safari and on websites where anonymous authentication is disabled and windows authentication is enabled.
When I select a file in the upload-control and then press an ASP-button the serverside event for the button is not triggered and PostBack is false.
Steps to reproduce the error:
1. Create a page with a file upload and a button. Print a message in the page's load event so you can see that if postback is true or false
2. Open IIS-manager and Add a new application that points to the folder where the page is
3. Disable Anonymous Authentication, ASP.NET Impersonation and Forms Authentication for the application
7. Enable Windows Authentication for the application
8. Browse to the page with Safari
9. Select a file with the upload control
10. Press Ok. Postback is false
If you then enable anonymous authentication on the web application and restart the browser postback works as expected.
I have 2 SUBMIT button in a form one is display:hidden and one is display:block if user click on SUBMIT button (display:block) then another SUBMIT button {display:hidden} should also submitted.
My web page uses a number of custom validation controls to check that values have been selected in DropDownList controls. I have written simple Client side scripts and also server side, but the validation control never gets fired. I am performing validation using a button-click that has CausesValidation set to true.

In ASP.NET when we have multiple input section with required field validator (Like on header for login with userid & Password is required and second on footer for subscription) when we click on subscription login section's userid required field validator activates and say userid required & i can not submit subscription.
when i submit subscription details login section should not have concern with this. how to avoid this conflicts.
I am using a MultiView inside an UpdatePanel with several views within it and a button on each that is supposed to validate the controls on the current view before moving onto the next view in the sequence (a bit like the Wizard control except I wanted more freedom).
I am using an LinkButton but the problem is that the LinkButton is not causing validation -- I have also tested with an ImageButton which isn't causing validation either. However, when I use a normal Button, the validation does work. I have grouped my validation controls into a ValidationGroup and made sure that CausesValidation is turned on.
I've set up a CustomValidator with a ClientValidationFunction as:
<asp:CustomValidator ID="CustomValidator1" runat="server" Display="Dynamic" EnableClientScript="true" ClientValidationFunction="checkClients" ErrorMessage="You must select at least one client or staff" SetFocusOnError="true"></asp:CustomValidator> <script type="text/javascript"> function checkClients(sender, args) { [code]...
I am using System.Net.Mail in C#.net website. Basically, I use this to send email alerts to users when some action has occurred.
The problem is, when some PC's are used to trigger an email, nothing happens. I have 2 PC's in my office, and when I do the action on one of them, it works, but not on the other. Why is that?
Also, when an action is triggered by the login page (email reports), it works everywhere, but not on other pages.
I thought C# was server-side code? Shouldn't everything work or not work based on what the server has installed?
I have 3 tabs with 3 seperate gridview and radios buttons in them. Each page has a seperate submit button, but for some reason each pages submit button is validating all the radio buttons on each tab, i picked the seperate controls to validate under but on any submit theya re all validated instead of just the ones on that tab.
Referring to the following: Ajax Asyncfileupload doesn't work as soon as I put it in a control I am having the same issue. I am not using a Master page though. I have an AsyncFileUpload control in a Panel, within an update panel.
