Everything is working fine and i am able to update the second dropdownlist based on the item selected in the first dropdownlist.
The problem is that i am not able to capture the data to a cs file and upload then it to database and i am getting this error:

I have a user control in the sidebar(in my web site) for display title and picture of any of news. his usercontrol in all of the pages is observable. when user click on the picture navigate to the page News.aspx for more details. first time i can but in second time when i click on another picture in the News.aspx i get an error like below:

Using ASP.NET VB, I have a form with some text boxes and a Gridview. If a user clicks the Edit button on a row in the gridview, and then tries to submit the form with a row still in edit mode on the Gridview, this error is generated -

I am getting the following error on on clikcing checkbox from checkbox list in my project.

i have had this problem before but haven't found a solution yet. The solutions that i have come across are either bad for security or worked on old versions of the .Net framework. I am using VB.net with framework 3.5 and i get the following error when clicking on a button that is a trigger for an updatepanel:

I have a datalist which will display a list of groups from the database. In every group record, i have a button binding to it, and i give it a commandName call "joingroup" . When a user actaully clicks on the button(btnJoinGroup), the commandName fires. The problem i am facing now is, whenever i click on the button, i get this error below:

After a day of seraching and not finding an answer, I decided to join and post my issue. I'm not sure why I am receiving the subject error considering just yesterday, it was working fine. If more code is needed to provide input on my problem, please let me know and I will get right on it."Dim v As New Vehicle(0)" is the cause of the error. Since this error occurs, a bunch of other errors will pop up not recognizing any of the properties or methods I've created in my Vehilce class. So I am guessing this is the root of the issue.

Whenever a postback would occur (AJAX'ed by an UpdatePanel) I want to do a callback beforehand and only after the callback has completed (either successfully or not) should the postback occur. How can I do this?
Elaborate explanation: We use ASP.NET AJAX (UpdatePanel 'n stuff) together with DevExpress controls. Among those controls is the ubiquitous GridView. As is typical with ASP.NET gridviews, you can edit rows one-by-one, and to save your changes you have to hit the "update" button at the end of the row. However if you make some changes to the row, then forget to press the "update" button, and hit something else in the page (say the big red SAVE button that causes a postback and saves the whole form to the DB), your changes will be lost. The row will still be in edit mode, but it will have reset to the data it had initially when you started the edit.
Our clients are not happy with this and want the row to be saved automatically if the user forgets to do so himself. Luckily the DevExpress gridview is smart enough to have an "Update()" method which I can call from JavaScript. Unluckily that causes a callback and returns immediately. If I allow the postback to continue as normally, the callback will get aborted. Well, technically it's a race condition I guess, but so far it seems that the postback wins. There are events to which I could attach for success/failure of the callback, but I don't know how to "resume" the postback that started it all. We could turn off callbacks for all the grids, but that would be a performance disaster.

Into below code i am using it to check if the user had uploaded images before or not if yes then keep the old and update if the user has new files into fileuploads controls.
But what i am looking for to update the code and delete UID and use AdsID column " column data type is: Int" which is passed by query string QADNUM.
I tried to delete UID and use QADNUM instaed of UID but it dosent work and i tried to add QADNUM but i faced an error with code line:

I'm having this wierd issue I hope you could help me with.I have two drop down lists in my page, and an accordion.When a value is chosen for the first DDl it loads specific values from my database into the second ddl.I've put the second one inside an Update panel, and added the first DDL as AsyncTrigger, so whenever someone chooses a value from the first DDL it loads the second one without refreshing the page.After a value has been chosen for the second DDl the accordion should be populated with data.I've ran some tests and noticed that choosing a value from the second DDL won't populate the accordion, so I've added another PostBack trigger to the second DDL- the ddl itself.Sometimes it works fine- I choose a value from ddl2 and the accordion shows fine, but sometimes I get this error message:Invalid postback or callback argument. I have a web page with various controls. Two of them are dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist gets populated from an xml file on the page_load event. This works fine. To the first dropdownlist a cascadingdropdownlist extender is attached which calls a webservice each time the selection in the first dropdownlist is changed. This works fine too. Underneath my two dropdownlists I have a button which posts the page back. However, when I have made a selection in the second dropdownlist and click the button I get the following error:

I have searched high and low on this error, but my problem stems back to which control is causing this problem. In theory the problem starts when someone goes to a specific tab and clicks a button to download a PDF file. After doing that if I use a dropdownlist the error pops up.I have checked the code etc. just cannot figure out which control is triggering the error. I can identify the control that is the problem?

I have a TabContainer, within a tab, i have a gridview, within the gridview i have a ImageButton. When I click on the ImageButton, I will call a javascript. The javascript will call a Hidden Button click. This hiddenbutton is the TargetControl of the Modalpopup so that when I click on the ImageButton, modalpopup is trigger. I have a a dropdown on a page

and I on occasion want to add items to it using javascript/jquery.
