i am having a issue i.e i am saving my files in a folder. Now i am having 2 files such as one.txt and two.txt now i would like add the content that was in the two.text to one.text .
My sample code is like this
string file = Directory.GetCurrentDirectory();
file = Directory.GetParent(file).ToString();
file = Directory.GetParent(file).ToString();
file = file + "\ACH";
objPPD.savePPD(file);
at this point i would like to get that 2nd text file and would like to append but i am getting an error as unauthorized exceptoin

my c# web application populating dropdowns with datas at run time... i.e my web form contains 3 dropdowns and one gridview.. dropdown1 populate with 'pgmtitle' which is fetch from database,when user select one item-pgmtitle from dropdown1,participants(BadgeNo,Name)

I have a 'Read More' Button attached to the repeater control, and when it is clicked, the list currently displayed
should be remained and the new repeater list should be appended to the bottom of the currently displayed list.
And the 'Read More' Button should now be located below the newly created repeater list and it can be clicked again and the process above continues.

i have done a small code like if i enter some value in my text box i will pop up a new form corresponding to the value entered i will take the values from the pop up form and click on save and i am redirecting to the previous page and will click on save now i would like to save the data along with the data that is entered in the pop up form
Ex : My first form is like

Value 3 Here when i enter 3 i will get a pop up if i click on save it will take input 3 times from the user. That data should be carried to the prev form and wiil fill the remaining values in that form and click on save

Currently we are saving files (PDF, DOC) into the database as BLOB fields. I would like to be able to retrieve the raw text of the file to be able to manipulate it for hit-highlighting and other functions.Does anyone know of a simple way to either parse out the files and save the raw text on save, either via SQL or .net code. I have found that Adobe has a filtdump utility that will convert the PDF to text. Filtdump seems to be a command line tool, and i don't see a way to use a file stream. And what would the extractor be for Office documents and other file types?-or-Is there a way to pull out the raw text from the SQL Full text index, without using 3rd party filters?Note i am trying to build a .net & MSSql solution without having to use a third party tool such as Lucene

I have an input type, so a text box which has a browse button next to it. When it is clicked, the file that is selected has it's full path placed into the text box.

Where is the event! Now that I have the path to the file in the textbox of the input type, I want to load each line of this file into a textbox that is able to handle multiline text. I don't want the file to be uploaded to the website. I just want to contents of the file read and placed in a textbox all with one click on the browse button.

I have a very large text file whose data I need to extract and display in a gridview control. The method I'm using now is as follow:
1. Read each line of the textfile using StreamReader, into a String.
2. Split the String and populate the fields of a detail object.
3. Add the detail object to a List.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for each row of the text file.
5. Bind the list to the gridview.
I think most of the time is spent processing the text file data (steps 1, 2 & 3).
Is there any way this can be done quicker and more efficiently? At present, it takes ages to read and process a 76 mb text file.
