I can't seem to check the checked value of a dynamic checkbox within a gridview. I've tried dozens of ways to test the checkbox's checked value, but it still returns false, when it should return true. If I change the checked value to true in the ASPX web page, then it will return true, even when it should return false. Any ideas? I've tried many different ways of checking the checkbox value including the one below.
MailingLabels.aspx
Code:
<asp:GridView ID="GridView" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataKeyNames="NewClientID">
<Columns>
<asp:BoundField DataField="NewClientID" InsertVisible="false" />

note that the scenario is ASP.NET Webforms + Master - Content page which mess up the ids.
I have, say, three checkboxes
<asp:CheckBox ID="chkConsultantQuality" runat="server"
CssClass="company"/>
<asp:CheckBox ID="chkConsultantEnvironment" runat="server"
CssClass="company"/>
<asp:CheckBox ID="chkConsultantSafety" runat="server"
CssClass="company"/>
I would like to make a div id="CompanyPanel" on click event of each checkbox according to the following condition
visible if any of the checkboxes are checked.
hidden if all of the checkboxes are unchecked.
I am planning to use jQuery since I am selecting by class name. I could do it with jQuery.each on the class='company' by checking each for a checked flag.

I'm working on the admin tool and am using DetailsView to edit the records (.net 2.0). In the screenshot below, the left is the GridView, and the right is the DetailsView. When a user clicks "Select" in the GridView, I am trying to display the assigned Sectors stored in the database via a checkboxlist (activities can have multiple sectors). This way, the Admin user could just uncheck/check what sectors they want to change. Unfortunately, I can only get the first sector that's stored database to show up.
Is it possible for the Checkboxlist control to allow for more than one box to be checked at the same time? If so, do I need to create a custom funcion (via looping) in order to populate the checkboxlist accordingly? I've ran into 3 articles so far that imply that, but can't get the For Each to work for my situation:
This is my select statement:
[Code]....
DetailsView on front-end:

CodeBehind:

I am binding a checkboxlist with a dataset (with these columns :
id,empname,resourceId,balanceId as columns) with datavaluefield as id and datatextfield as empname;
Now, i want to control the selection of the items. Say some thing like
1. "User should be allowed to check only say 5 items with same resourceId" using javascript
2. And in total he should select only 20 items (max 5 items for same resource id and max 15 items for the remaining)
How can we control this?

Here is my code through which i can generate dynamically 2 checkbox group
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
DataList1.DataSource = dt;
DataList1.DataBind();
DataList2.DataSource = dt;
DataList2.DataBind();
Design Page
[code]....
There is two checkbox group which have same datasource, so in both case same checkbox are showing and also same event is firing for both. Here is the event code
protected void CheckBox_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string OpService = ((CheckBox)sender).Text;
}
Now what i want to do is, while check one checkbox from the 1st checkbox group the same checkbox should be selected from the second checkbox group automatically, also if i deselect one checkbox that should be deselect from both checkbox group.

convert.toboolean(request.form["mycheckbox"]
but since the value is 'false', it doesn't seem to cast to boolean. What should I do? I don't like checking for == "false" and then converting to boolean. is there a cleaner way? Update All I am doing is:
if (Convert.ToBoolean(request.Form["somecheckbox"]))
{
}

I have asp.net checkboxlist control that bounded to a data source so the number of items in the control are different from one to to another time.
I have this function:
$('#<%=chkListGroups.ClientID %> input:checkbox:checked').siblings('label').text();
this function will return all texts for all selected items in the control as a one string.
I'm looking for a way that when I check a check box from the ckeckboxlist control will return only last checked checkbox.
this code :
[Code]....
returns last checked item for example if I checked second will return second item then when I checked fifth item will return fifth item but if now when I check third item will return fifth item so it is always returning last item checked in the list and I'm looking to
