It is running fine, taking values inserting and then showing in grid view using SqlDataSource.. also editing in detailsview using SqlDataSource.
1. My Column EmployeeID is of String nature.now i dont want the user to input Employeeid, i want E-123 type value. and i want to get the max id from table and +1 before inserting new record. what are the step to do it.
2. I want to display status column as check box in detailsview. it is again string type and taking values T or F. how to do it?
3. Status Checkbox need to be displayed in Grid View also.

Problem:
User entered data at 12:27 PM but system recorded 12:27 AM.
I couldn't find why?
It is confirmed by the user that he didn't worked midnight.
Required:
The system should insert correct time.

1.) PRODUCT_INFORMATION
2.) CUSTOMERS
3.) DISTRIBUTORS
4.) PRODUCT_NAME
5.) CONTROLLER
Each table has a primary key assigned. The customers table has an ID column and a CUSTOMER_NAME column with unique index property set to avoid any duplication. How do I insert values in the product_information table that has a foreign key column from the CUSTOMERS table if we insert a value in the CUSTOMER_NAME field of the CUSTOMERS table. I want to know how can I create a join between all the tables so that when I insert values in individual tables they are joined with a serial number column in the PRODUCT_INFORMATION table?
Javascript - For Ajax Data Insertion In Page What Is Faster Than InnerHTML
Sep 17, 2010I'm doing an ajax work where web service will return data and on client side and I am creating html table with data.I am using var (to hold string of generated html code), do string concatenations to generate table, tr and td tags and put data in it. Then I put this html table with data into a div using innerHTML. I am applying inline css in this dynamic html code.
The issue I am facing is the web service will return a huge amount of data. What I tested is even on local machine it took about 10-12 minutes to process (concatenating, creating tags putting data in table, applying css) 10000 rows. Stored procedure just take 3-4 seconds in returning data. how this in-browser processing time can be reduced ? I am doing it for speed in some wrong way ? Or is there some technique for it or some method faster than innerHTML and string concatenations ?

Dec 9, 2010I know this is gonna be easy for some of you. I have a page that I am making for a timekeep site for my organization. The site pulls the user's username. I have a table in MSSQL that has the users informaton. This table has an ID for each user. I need to get the ID to display in a text box or literal so that I can use it in a query. Once it is in the control. I will use it to make the entry into another table that records the users time.
There may be an easier way to do it. I am just starting out and do not know how to do it.

I cannot encode some of the other controls in the row, so the solution from the msdn site doesn't work in my case. I only want to encode the single textbox.
