I would like to be able to determine the specific node that has been clicked when entering the SelectedNodeChanged() event.I have the text from the control as TreeView.SelectedNode.Text but am unable to figure out how to get the TextField value.

I am playing around and trying to learn silverlight4. I have an existing asp.net page with and area of 600 * 400px available for my silverlight form.
My silverlight application has 2 usercontrols. The 1st usercontrol contains a listview of some data, when a user clicks on a list item I display the 2nd usercontrol.
Is it possible from the 2nd usercontrol to call a clientside function within the page so I can have a similar effect as a modal popup?
My popup is a usercontrol, which as datagrid , OK button and Cancel button. My ModalPopup Extender is in page(Page1.aspx)How do i close the popup without posting back. I cannot use CancelControlID because mymodalpopup extender is in page1.aspx and my Cancel button is in Usercontrol.
View 4 RepliesI have developed a web application which contains aspdotnet treeview control. In this treeview control has binded with some database value.. that controls has one parent node and more than one child nodes for each parent node.
my problem is here, when the user clicks the parent node, I need to fire a javascript onclick function before the server side event(SelectedNodeChanged) called..
If I provide javascript to the parnet node when it is binding, then I could not fire the server side event(SelectedNodeChanged).
How to provide onclick javascript event for parent node in treeview control even the parent node has SelectedNodeChanged event.

im creating site with usercontrols. I have repeater, inside it is another repeater with usercontrol. My problem is passing BindedValue to usercontrol.Bindings works fine and binds the value i need but it cannot pass the value to usercontrol. When i type it manually it works, when i bind it, it passes null (!).I've tried get,set, functions (ondatabound, onload, oninit), accessing control from code with no luck. Ive read and tried to do all the google solutions but with no luck. (even with creating usercontrol inheritance)

I know that this can be possible with properties in both UC's and by registering UC2 in UC1 or vice versa. But I want the solution to be loosely coupled. Any best possible way without touching the Actual Page (which hosts UC's)? So i need some best possible way between UCs transfering C.

Now userControl1 is visible and there is also a button inside this userControl1 and when click, will set userControl2 visible to true and hide userControl1. Is there a way to do so that when click on the button inside userControl1, is does not show userControl2? I want to do this way is because, the button is for submitting data to database and then will pop up userControl2. When there is an error, only a msgBox will pop up and does not show userControl2.
I've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. I have a page with an UpdatePanel with a UserControl in it. That UserControl contains a GridView with a nested UserControl that seems to disappear when the parent UserControl is rebound. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the child UserControl disappears. The code works beautifully on the first load, but any partial postback causes the "Pick" UserControl to disappear.

I have a page named Customer.aspx that uses MainLayout.master. Customer.aspx also contains a UserControl named UC_Details.ascx.
How can I have UC_Menu.ascx call a function that is in UC_Details.ascx with this scenario?

View 5 RepliesI have two UserControls on a MasterPage. DataEntryUC contains several TextBoxes and DropDownList. NavSaveUC contains navigation buttons. When the user clicks on a navigation button, I will be saving the data entered into DataEntryUC from the NavSaveUC UserControl.
I have a couple of tables in my DB that contain stored procedure names, control names, control types, SqlDbTypes, etc.... that correlate with DataEntryUC.
How do I reference a text box that is on DataEntryUC from NavSaveUC?

I want to authenticate a user using model popup extender. So I wrote a program to do this. Everything OK when user enter the correct details. But user enters the wrong detail, it should shows in a lablel in a popup panel. It shows; but the problem is it close the popup . But I want to keep the popup if the user enters the wrong details. How can I do this?
View 5 RepliesI'm using modal popup extender and panel with calendar in it. Click the "Next / Previous Month" closes the modal popup. How do I tell the modal popup to ignore click events in a calendar control inside the panel targeted for popup? I'm confused because when using extender before, you had to click OkButton or Cancel to close popup. I have update panel for reason. I just minimized the code for easy review.

View 4 RepliesI have one page with a panel that makes up my ModalPopup. On the ModalPopup there is an updatepanel with a textbox and a button in it. There is a textbox on the "parent" page and I want to click the button on the modalpopup and move the data from the popup textbox to the parent textbox. So far, no joy. I have a line in the code behind to move the data between textboxes and I have also tried javascript to do the same thing but I am not able to make this happen unless i click the button twice.
View 5 RepliesI'm working on a piece of code at the moment that allows the user to enter values into fields. Once the user clicks on the 'save' button I am checking those fields against certain conditions (essentially calling a bunch of stored procedures to assess the values). If any of these 'rules' are met, I need to generate a popup that informs the user that certain values need to be fixed before they can continue for some of the conditions, and for others just to inform them of what conditions may need their attention.
The main thing I need help with is, how do I generate a popup box in my codebehind if the conditions are met?
