Dec 15, 2010I need to know how to post information from an HTML <form> to a page that's within an IFRAME on an external server. In other words, the page with the <form> is on the first server, page being posted to is on the second server within an IFRAME which is also on the second server.
I've seen snippets of code for posting to a page within an IFRAME, but I believe that these apply to an IFRAME and target page on the same server as the posting page.

Sep 15, 2010I have a webform named Default.aspx and in it an iFrame...
The iFrame will load one of a few different pages/forms/aspx... (for this example lets just say its test.aspx)
On test.aspx I have 2 buttons Button1 and Button2 If I have code in my test.aspx.vb for Button1 click of:
button2.text = "hello world"
it looks as if it reloads test.aspx inside the iFrame and sure enough Button2 states "hello world"
So now lets say on the Default.aspx I also have a button and its named Button5.
How would I go about updating the Button5.Text from with in the vb code of Button1 click/vb code located on Test.aspx
I have looked over some other post [URL] and the tell of using "PreviousPage" but that not seam to be what I need, I want to be able to state the page/form I want to effect a control on it...
I know how to do this in jut standard VB.net (not web) its like:
FromName.ControleName.Text = "Hello World" but then again in VB.net windows apps you dont have Iframse to deal with...

The main.aspx page has some buttons and other controls .. and some events associated to page load and so on .. When i open main.aspx in a browser, evrthg works perfect .. but when i open up defaults.aspx , evrthg loads correctly, but if i click on any button inside "main.aspx" , nthg happens .. and none of the events is triggered ..

Jan 20, 2011I put an iframe in one page. above the ifame I put a menu. When user clicks on menu, appropriate pages are loaded in frame, it works.
But also I need by default one page to be loaded in iframe.

I tried to remove src="" in definition and put it in Page_load

Jun 30, 2010In order to use a third party API, I had to create a page that does not have form runat="server" in it. Because my app is using MasterPages and have a consistent look and feel throughout the application, though not too thrilled w/ the solution, I had to use iframe to embed this page into my app.It works fine but here's what I want to do. When the API call succeeds, I display a message and want to also place a hyperlink to send the user back to their home page. I think you see what I'm getting at by now. If I do this and the user clicks the link, it's all happening within the iframe.How do I send the user back to his home page and affect the whole page and not just the iframe page?

Feb 9, 2011I have created a web application that docks other web applications into it.When an application is docked the app creates a link button in its "tool box" on the left hand side of the page, users can easily click on any link button to navigate to the desired docked app.
I have a web app that uses iframes to display other web applications inside it. In effect it is a docking application where users can easily access many web applications from within one main app, while staying within the main app. I am having challenges dynamically resizing the iframe based on the size of the application the user is accessing.I have searched the web and tried many ideas but have yet to discover the code that will do the trick.
First, for a docking web application is the iframe the best approach? I have see some posts on ajax but am uncertain how that will help.
Second, if an iframe is the way to do it does anyone have code that will completely liminate the need for iframe scroll bars?
Note:The applications docked in the main we app may be of any size and can change size as users interact with them.

Mar 1, 2010I'm loading a web page into an iframe. As the web I'm trying to load have some heavy stuff it takes a while to load. As it's not my page I cannot change the HTML code neither the codebehind, so I want to put a progress bar while loading the web into the iframe and stop when it finishes loading. I'm doing it through javascript and I tried to trigger it in every load/unload event of the webs codebehind with bad results. Finally, I tried to trigger it in the body's onload event. It seemed to work, but the progress bar dissapears a couple seconds before the web is fully loaded into the iframe.
Its possible to know when the web has finished loading the iframe or when the web page which is loading in the iframe has finnished loading?

Aug 25, 2010I have a page with an iframe on it in which I load another page.On this iframe page I have some textboxes above eachother.When the first textbox is filled with a code the textchanged event is called nd the code is checked with the database.After the code has been changed to the right one (if needed) I want the focus to go to the next textbox.
So at the end of the event I do: Page.SetFocus(txtbox2)ut after the postback refresh, the focus is gone.
I have also put the control to be focused in a session variable and then in the page_load event I set the focus to the control in the session variable, but still no focus on the textbox.How can I put it on the 2nd textbox?all is done in the Iframe page codebehind.
I need this focus because the two textboxes are filled via bar code reader and after the scan an "enter press" is done automatically and to be able to allow two scans after each other this focus change is needed.
