I have to create a simple application which scans, displays and stores the info from a barcode. I have been able to sort the scanning and display part of this application but I need to know how to store the infromation entered into a textbox to a database and then be able to display the stored data as a list at a later stage.E.G. Once the "STORE" button is clicked, the information/text within the textbox is stored to a database. Once the "VIEW STORED DATA" button is clicked, the stored information in the database is displayed as a list.I am a complete beginner when it comes to creating web applications using asp.net. Also, the type of database to use (i.e. sql, wamp.etc) and how to link it to my application is also puzzling.

Has anybody been able to stream .flv videos from a database to a flash player?
I currently store videos (.avi, .mpeg, .wmv) and images in my database and I can stream these pretty good. I'm using a httphandler to do this.
But I can't get .flv videos to stream to the browser. If I don't upload the .flv file to the database but store it in the filesystem, everything works great.
Is it even possible to send a byte stream from the database to the flashplayer in the browser? I think it could have something to do with the headers of the .flv?
Can I do this or should I keep the videos in the file system?

Web service error response (code/message etc) would you store it in a database? or would you keep the error response in a method.By the time I'm done with this, there will be hundreds of error response, maybe in the future, thousands? (I dont know yet, depends how large this web service grows).EDIT: error response is the response returned back to the application via the web service, (not to be confused with error logging).
