Jun 17, 2010I want to get record between two times. viz I want to get record of my site visitors from yesterday's 8pm to todays 8pm. what can i do?

The fields are:
SerialNum
TagNum
PONum
Location
Address
Description
This works great. However, I have now been asked to have the form insert x number of records at one time.
They want to be able to fill out the following fields:
PONum
Location
Address
Description
and then have texbox where they can add a number and have that number of the same record inserted.

Jun 22, 2010I have a InsertCommand function i am using to insert the dropdownlist in my updatepanel. When the Add button is clicked. It adds the record multiple times. Am not sure why it does this. Here is my code.

Also, i was woundering if any of you might know the logic behind clearing inserted data from the dropdownlist once its inserted. I am trying to make sure data is not entered mulitiple times. Unique Indexing comes to mind but thats only on the backend.

Feb 26, 2011I'm very new on VWD, but I got the hang of it for the past 2 weeks(thank you for all the videos posted here in ASP.NET),but I'm really weak on the coding part(vb & c#),except for all the sample shown on the tutorials. Anyways, I have a simple project that
does insert, update & delete to SQL express using the details view. But to complete my project, I need to add a button that will create an event to restore the very last record inserted in SQL and display it back into the details view for minor modification
and nserted again as the newest record with the mod. I'm doing this so user, doesn't need to re-key-in redundant information, like names, original date & time etc, and just make modification on the description of the last record.....

Now if second member will do the same thing thing the GridView will be updated and his Name and Address will display in second row and likewise for other users. But what happened in my code is when second user will try to add his record, it remove the record of first user and add the record of second at row1. Aug 25, 2010I have 3 textboxes. In the first two, times will be entered (an IN and OUT time) and the third textbox needs to subtract the two times from txtbox1 and txtbox2. Somehow I need to validate the times are entered correctly into txtbox1 and txtbox2. Right now, if the first txtbox is blank, it brings in the system time in the following format on the code behind:

The txtTimeOut.Text box needs to be validated somehow to the same format of hh:mm tt and then the third txtbox should be the difference of the two txtboxes.

I use Hmailserver as mail server and I am not sure if this cause the problem.I am able to send email consecutively 2 time no problem, but it is always the 3rd time after I would get this error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: net_io_connectionclosed. Aug 25, 2010I'm developing my own forum, and now I've come to the task of replacing text with smileys (such as colon and left parethesis to a smiling ball). this works well with the Replace function, such as

However, I'm worried about speed, because this approach means running Replace on every message a bunch of times (each for each emoticon, quote amrking etc). Is there a smarter way to do this, or is this the reason why forums are, in eneral, so slow?
