Web Forms :: Possible Of Using Javascript To Check Data In SQL Server
Mar 31, 2010
Is it possible of using javascript to check data in SQL server?User inputs a order ID into a text box, I need to code to see if ID is in SQLserver before submit.
string jSFile = ResolveUrl("~/MyProject/JavaScripts/dir/test.js"); if (!System.IO.File.Exists(jSFile)) { ... }
This code doesn't work and I guess it's the jSFile that doesn't work well with the IO.File.Exists but I know the jSFile has a valid path because when I use few line later
I am developing a web application for online bidding wher I want the BID button to disable itself, on all clients, whenever someone places a bid. What I need is some javascript to ping the site to check if a bid has been placed on the server, if so, then disable the button. I was suggested to use jQuery for this, use .ajax to query the server for the check. Then use a setTimeout javascript function to keep checking.I am not javascript expert at all so any tips would be greatly appreciated. At lease where to start. Also, will I need to record every single bid in database to achieve above?
I have asp.net form having 4 check boxes. not check box list. these 4 check boxes having the ValidationGroup property with same name say "chkValied". I have added Custom Validator there. now want to check at least on check box should be check out of these.
I have requiremet like in checkboxlist displaying all country names from database. The first item is 'All Countries' and country names will start from second item. So, when user click on All All Countries checkbox, all the remaing items should be uncheck and when user click on of the country checkbox then 'All Countries' should be uncheck like that. I googled sometime but got the articles which are explaning with a separate checkbox for check/uncheck items in checkboxlist. I don't want a separate checkbox......the All Countries checkbox should be first item of the checkboxlist.
I want to generate 30,000 cards and each card must be duplicate check with database. In my card, there are 2 things. Serial No and CardID. If any card already exists then I generate another card id but with the same serial no.
So how faster way I can generate 30,000 card with duplicate check? Which one I have made application, it takes about 25 minutes to insert.
I have a detailsview with an update button one of the update fields is a checkbox which when is checked I want to automatically update a date field of when the checkbox was checked, am I going the right way with this code....... as I am getting a number of errors
Dim i As Integer For i = 0 To detailsview2.Rows.Count - 1 Step i + 1 Dim row As GridViewRow = GridView1.Rows(i) [code]....
i have a UP and DOWN buttons ouside a gridview and a checkbox inside the templated field .I will check the checkbox to sleect a row , after that if i click on UP button the checkbox above the selected checkbox should be selected.
same with when i click on DOWN button the checkbox below the selected checkbox should be selected.
I have a check box in the grid.IF IsChecked has a value checkbox should be checked else not.Should i check the check box in the ItemDataBound event or will it get checked automatically.
I have a grid view with two columns...one column has a no. like (123) and a check box....which user can checked or unchecked......all I need to do is that I need to disable the man handling of that check box......rather I would like to see a seperate grid view with the same no. of rows as of the first and in this gridview I may allow to type in or scan the no. and if this scanned or typed number matches any no. in the first gridview number then the corresponding check box should be checked/unchecked.
The reason i need to do this is because of Facebook Connect - which is another story, so i'll save you the drama for that. =) Anyway, i have this function that runs on window.onload:
function userAuth() { SomeFunctionWhichGetsFacebookCookes(); if (!loggedInUsingFormsAuth && loggedInViaFacebook) { window.location.reload(); // refresh page, so i can perform auto-login } }
So, i need help in getting the flag "loggedInUsingFormsAuth". I dont care what is in the cookie, just need to know if the current user is authenticated. Why am i doing this? Well, on window load, if the user is logged into Facebook but not on my website (according to the Forms Authentication cookie), i want to reload the page - which allows my ASP.NET website to read the Facebook cookies in the HttpContext and log the user in. I need to do this in JavaScript, because i dont have the Facebook cookies until i call "SomeFunctionWhichGetsFacebookCookies" - which can only be done in JavaScript.
So, how can i work out if the current user is authenticated via JavaScript? Do i have to manually traverse through the cookies, find the one i want, and inspect it? Is this a safe thing to do? Or should i alternatively write out the flag to the client from the server using RegisterClientScript?
I have a few updatepanel in my asp.net webform . I'm doing some tests and I'm wondering how can i check what data send back to server in different situations ?
I have a gridview and i want to have a column header with a checkbox so whenever I check the checkbox on the header, it will automatically check the checkboxes for the whole column, as well as unchecking it. but I do not want to use javascript. is that possible?
Suppose I have a master page where I have written some javascript to access the value of a particular asp.net text box, which resides in one of its content pages, but not in all the pages. This piece of javascript code can't be moved to that particular content page because of some restrictions.
Now I need a way to determine whether or not that text box exists in the page, which will imply that the content page containing that text box has been loaded.
