Is there a method to retrieve the file name of a class?
Specifically I would like to create a static method (CreateLink) in a base class (BasePage) to automatically return the path and filename of the page called.
I code in .C# ASP.NET
private const string TEMPLATE = "~/One.aspx";
public static HyperLink CreateLink()
{
HyperLink link = new HyperLink();
link.Text = "Click here";
link.NavigateUrl = String.Format(TEMPLATE);
return link;
}
Is it possible to avoid the use of TEMPLATE hardcoded variable? Is it possible to retrieve the One.aspx path from file name and location?

I want to retrieve private (implementation and other) methods of a class which implements an interface and also is derived from (inherits) a base class.
How can I achieve this using reflection? Is there anyother way to achieve this?
This is wat m tryin to do. I need to view these private methods and their contents, I don't want to invoke them.
Dim assembly As System.Reflection.Assembly
Dim assemblyName As String assemblyName = System.IO.Path.GetFullPath("xyz.dll")
assembly = System.Reflection.Assembly.LoadFile(assemblyName)
assembly.GetType("myClass").Getmethods(Bindings.NonPublic)
assembly.GetType("myClass").GetMethods(BindingFlags.NonPublic) isn't working

" When the user scan their Student ID into TextBox1, i want to only display BARCODE_NUM which is C9887688767876 from the example. Also When the user scan their Student ID into TextBox2 , i want to only display LASTNAME which is Smith from the example. I have a listview that is retrieving some values from a database and showing them. The information are; product name, price, etc. At the end of each row, I have a textbox and a button. Within the textbox the user is able to insert how many items he wants of that particular item and by clicking the button I want the value from the textbox retrieved. It may be relevant to mention that
with the button is a event attached (OnClick) which is where I want the value of the textbox to be retrieved. The part that is giving me problem is retrieving the textbox value for that specific row when the button is clicked.

my solution currently has a website project and a class library project. I am attempting to access a session object from my class library but it is always returning null. In a settings class in my class library I store these values like so:
private static SessionProperty<WebUser> _currentUser = new SessionProperty<WebUser>("CurrentUser", delegate { return new WebUser(); });
public static WebUser CurrentUser
{
get { return _currentUser.Value; }
set { _currentUser.Value = value; }
}
I can access this just fine from any aspx page codebehind like so:
Settings.CurrentUser.User.ProviderUserKey.ToString();
However, if I attempt to do the same thing from a class in my classlibrary project it always returns null.

I have a dropdownlist("ddlTemplate") control and a gridview("gvPlanning") control with 1 BoundField column, 1 TemplateField column and remaining columns will be generated dynamically from database.In TemplateFiled Column i have 3 image buttons viz: Edit, update and cancel.Gridview will be populated based on the selecteditem of dropdownlist.
if i click on edit imagebutton, i need to add textboxes dynamically in all the columns of that row except first 2 column. And if i click on Update imagebutton i need to retrieve the textbox values.we can add template field column for textboxes also, but why i am sticking to this method is.. the number of columns changes depending on the selecteditem from the dropdownlist. Eg: If i select india from dropdownlist the number of columns in the gridview would be 4 and if i select UK from dropdownlist the number of columns would be 9 likewise.

I have a database table that works as a file repository. Currently there are binaries stored in there and I want to pull the "large" ones out in chunks. Some of these files are in excess of 500 MB. I have business rules that dictate if the file is >5MB to transmit in chunks. <5MB and I can load into memory and rip out. I got the uploading in chunks to work, but how do I get it to pull it out of the DB in chunks?
Right now I'm getting hit with a 'System.OutOfMemory' exception. But when I recreate the byte array of the SAME size (empty though) it doesn't break.
Download Chunks (DAL)
public byte[] getBytesByDataID(int chunkSize, string dataID) { string query = "SELECT data.data " +" FROM data " + " WHERE dataID = @dataID"; openConnection(); cmd = new SqlCommand(query, myConnection); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@dataID", dataID);

I have a .txt file named: myTextFile.txt on my hostingaccount that contains this string: "Hello"
Now my hostingprovider says this: "Any file that you can access via your domain can be accessed through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection as well."
When I type this manually in the address field, my browser will show the string: "Hello" in the top left corner: [URL]
My question now is if it is possible programatically to write this address down in the browser and retreive this string using this Secure Socket Layer (SSL). (https://) ?
The thing is that I will implement this in a C# winform application so I will try to ask this question here as the logic hopefully could be the same.
