In the below example ddlContactType has a selected value as 'PRIMARY' and whenever i click on the lblContactType Text, the dropdown box Selected value is changing to "Select One" Text.
How to prevent this one. It should be on PRIMARY Only.

i populate the grid view from an array of cities & i want that when button is clicked all the checked cities are appended in to the label.

while working i found that when button is clicked the page_load function build the grid view again & there fore all check boxes are initialised .

i do not want to do the same by using Javascript. i want to do this by C# only

Aug 17, 2010I have a series of checkboxes and I would like to append the text value to a div every time and item gets selected, but I'd also like to remove the item from the div's text when an item is deselected.
I'm guessing the best way would be with some sort of an array? Can I get some guidance on this one?

Jul 5, 2010I have a table called 'Customer' that contains customer information. One of the fields is named "CustomerType". Each record in the 'Customer' table will contain the value of either "C", "I", or "O".
I have a form that contains a "check box list" named "Type". There are 3 values in the "check box list". The values are "C", "I", and "O". The user can select one or more of these values. I have a button on the form named "btnRunQuery.
When the user clicks on the button "btnRunQuery" I want to exectute a query that selects the records contained in the "Customer" table where the value in the field "CustomerType" equal the values the user selected in the "check box list". Example: If the user selected "C" and "O", then I want the select query to select all records that contain either "C" or "O" in the field "CustomerType".
I assume that what I need to do is to capture the values that the user selected in the "check box list" and put them in a variable. Then I need to format the "Where" statement in the query and add a "Parameters.AddWithValue" command.

Display List Of Values In MVC Detail View?
Feb 2, 2010I am new to web apps, MVC, and LinqToSql. I created an MVC web app using the NerdDinner tutorial as a guide. I'm now adding many-to-many relationships to it. And am just running into walls at every step. I have a multiselect list in the Edit and Create views. For the Detail and List views I would like to list the selected values.
I have 3 tables: Company, Subcontract, and a link table CompanyToSubcontract. I have code which gets the guid of my selected companies from the CompanyToSubcontract table which is used elsewhere in my code. I do not know how to display it.
Should I write another function to get the Company names from the Company table? Do I pass the list of names to the SubcontractDetail view and then somehow loop through it there?
Same questions with the SubcontractIndex view. The Index view is in table format, I'd like to have a "Company" column which has a comma separated list of the companies for each subcontract row.

May 7, 2015in my project i have a gridview gv with 5 rows with check boxes(templatefield).. and 1 label.. my problem is when i check 1st row the row value display in label, if i select 1st row & 2nd row checked the two values display in same label with comma seperation, if i uncheck 2nd row, the row value remove from label and only 1st row will be display..if i select all rows all values are display in label with comma seperation.
