Can u make the tabpanel headers not selectable, so the users cant skip tabs. I have buttons on each panel that shows the next panel but the users can skip panels by clicking the panel headers. I want the panel headers to be visible so the users can see which section they are on but stop them selecting panels from the headers.
I have 5 links that are on the same form but I would like them all to reference the same AJAX modal popup extender. I am basically showing a panel with the same view layout with just different data depending on which link is pressed, showing different match scores from games.
The only way I can get it to work is have 5 panels with unique names where each link references its own panel. Can I make all the links call the same panel?
I have some HTML markup in my ASP.NET master page representing a basic navigation menu. THree words that link to three pages. My CSS and HTML are included below for your reference.
When I load the page, the links appear with the correct color (red). If I hover over a link, the link changes to the correct color (blue). So far, we're good. Clicking a link changes the link color to the correct color (yellow). The two remaining links are still red / blue as expected. Clicking a second link changes that link to yellow also. Now I have two yellow links. Neither yellow link displays the hover color (blue) like I'd prefer. Clicking the third link causes it to be yellow, too and none of the links display the hover style.
Although a link has been clicked, I'd like the color to be stored and have the hover color displayed. How do I accomplish this? This is an ASP.NET web application project but I'm only using straight HTML at this point.
I have never work with a repeater and after a lot of research I got to the conclusion that this is the control I need to use for what I have to do. I need display data but I will need 2 headers and after some sort of amount of records the headers will repeat again. In this page you will find an example of what I'm trying to do http://ratings.fide.com/view_source.phtml?code=45276 I don't know if a repeater is the right control but i thin it is.
Given all the research I've done, I don't think this is possible - am I correct? I've been all over the web looking for ways to do this. My grid needs to scroll vertically, horizontally, sort, and go into edit mode. I've been able to do the "cheap" solution where a table sits above the grid to hold the column names, but this does not work well with putting the grid into edit mode or scrolling horizontally. In both cases, the columns become out of synch with their headers. My organization will not pay for a grid, so JQGrid is out. So, since the 'expression' capability has been removed from IE8, we are left with no possibilities for fixed column headers?
I'm not advanced enough in JQuery to do this...but wouldn't it be possible to create a JQuery function that copies the grid header row to a div that sits above the grid, so that the headers are always visible? (And hide the original grid header row). Anyone want to take a crack at it? Maybe I'll try but it will probably take me too long.
Sub MakeAccessible(ByVal grid As GridView) If grid.Rows.Count > 0 Then grid.UseAccessibleHeader = True grid.HeaderRow.TableSection = TableRowSection.TableHeader grid.HeaderRow.CssClass = "" 'grid.FooterRow.TableSection = TableRowSection.TableFooter End If End Sub
Now I need to add attributes to the th tags like th xyz=boom.
I need to use a grid that allows for filtering in the column headers. I know there are some third-party components out there that cost money. I am looking for something that is free / open-source that can be used on a project. Is anyone aware of a GridView that can do this?
I have a GridView with a SQL query bound to it. The query uses "Group By" to group together rows which have a particular "person" in the "Tech" column. E.g.
Fred - 01/12/10 - Rebooted machine Fred - 02/12/10 - Cleared printer jam Fred - 03/12/10 - Reset password Susan - 02/12/10 - Changed permissions Susan - 02/12/10 - Restarted machine
I wanted to have fixed headers in grid view. I came across multiple solutions but none worked with IE 8 and Chrome. One of the best solutions is following:
I am using the ASP.NET3.5 gridview control in a new project. My problem is that the gridview presents data in basic tabular format, whereas I want a grid with row header / grouping behaviors. An example of this would be Outlook web interface, which can group emails by date, as well as allowing you to select individual emails to display.
My problem: I can't see how this could be easily done with Gridview? I did find a product called Telerik that has a seemingly fancy Gridview, but I am hesitant to spend money on a single components that now also locks me into a third-party framework...
I have a couple of Textboxes in a Gridview header, mainly used to search for items in the dataset. This works fine; however, on Post Back, the textboxes do not hold the entered text. The View State is enabled for these control items.
I want scrollable gridview with fixed header. For that i create belw code
[Code]....
It works fine uptil page loads.I have functionality to delete rows from gridview.Once i click delete button from gridview the width of header columns get decreased then the width od data inside gridview. It means depending on the content of data the size gets variable.HOW to show data inside gridview irrespective of the content of data.
I have written a code from here http://www.aspsnippets.com/Articles/Display-GridView-with-Empty-Message-and-Header-and-Footer-when-no-data-in-ASP.Net.aspx. I just edited this as follows. this is my gridview code:-
and my code file code is as follows SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["contest"].ConnectionString); protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { Bind_Grid(); } } protected void Bind_Grid() { string strSql = "select * from mtblInformation"; SqlCommand com = new SqlCommand(strSql,con); SqlDataAdapter sda = new SqlDataAdapter(com); DataTable dt = new DataTable(); sda.Fill(dt); if (dt.Rows.Count > 0) { gvCustomers.DataSource = dt; gvCustomers.DataBind(); } }
when in database table have records then gridview binds and its showing records, But when there is no record in DB , instead of showing msgs that "No Data found." gridview doesn't appear.
I've been trying for the past few hours to add mutliple headers to my grid view but keep failing to get it to show. There's plenty of examples online that I found but can't seem to get the most simplest to work. Below is the code I've been using with no success. I even tried changing the "TableCell" o "TableHeaderCell" but still yields no headers as expected. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?
I have boundfiled column inside gridview and made the column as invisible by setting visible="false".
But while exporting the gridview to excel I am getting the Header text alone exported. Wherever the column's visibility is set to false the header text should not be exported. After binding the gridview I have set the column's visiblity to false so it won't export the column values.
The problem is to stop exporting the header text to excel. Let's say column index is 10
I recently applied a javascript code from article "Dynamically freeze ASP.net Gridview header using Javascript" found here, ASP Snippets Article, to my page. The javascript works great, but somehow, it's overriding my CSS code for the headers. When I refresh the page, I can see the headers with my CSS in place for just a fraction of a second before it is replaced with generic styling. I am not a javascript person, so really can't troubleshoot the problem. I have a style sheet with the following code.
