C# - How Make Groups (sections) Based On Column Values In Gridview

In my grid I have data in two columns same for couple of rows. Then again couple of other rows will same with different data.I want make them into alternative sections with colors
In below example(image).
Rows no 1 to 4 has 'High', 'High'. I want make them gray bgcolor for those rows.
Rows no 5 to 8 has 'High','Low'. I want make them white bgcolor for those rows
Rows no 9 to 12 has 'High','Medium'. I want make them again gray bg color for
those rows.

I have to select checkboxes besed on group column values. If you see below gridview, column 3 (GroupN) has 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2....etc (this column data is not static, will change based on page index. i.e PageIndex =2 may starts with 7,7,7,8,8,8,8,8,9,9,9 etc).
Now My question is.
1). If user selected '1', we have to store value and user must and should select another '1' (atleast two times).
2) If user selected '1', and user trying select '2'. Giving error says "Must have select one then one record in group to combine' (will not allow) and unselect '2'.
3) If user selected '1' atleast two times, and user trying select '2'. Will allow.
4) If user selected '1' atleast two times and selected '2' one time, trying to select '3'. will not allow user to select '3'.

I have a gridview which displays following columns:
TaskID, TaskDescription, IsComplete, DateOfCompletion
Now what I want to achieve is, when user clicks IsComplete checkbox, she must enter the date of completion. So, I want a validation (client side) on DateOfCompletion if the checkbox is selected (checked). And, I also want to use Validator Callout Extender
if possible.
How can I achieve this?

I am "DomainMyDomainUserName" If I do this:

I can access the website I've created on my local machine in debug mode; and with my domain account as a local administrator, if I do this:

I can still access the website; and with my domain account in a Domain Group named "DomainDomainLocalSecurityGroup", if I do this:
[Code]....
I can still access the website; HOWEVER, if I create a Local Group on my machine named "LocalMachineGroup" and I add "DomainMyDomainUserName" to this group and I do this:
[Code]....
I get an Access Denied error trying to access the website. What I want to do is, have a group on my local machine (for testing), on a test web server, and on a production web server named "MyWebsiteUserAccess" with the same Domain Group (filled with Domain Users allowed access to the site) in all of these local groups; so that when I test the web application on my local machine, on my test web server and on my production web server, I don't have to change the Web.config file to have it work on each AND if the Domain Group name ever has to change, it won't affect access to the website.
What am I overlooking or is this even possible to do this way? I understand that there is a way to do Role Management through ASP.NET but I don't understand that well enough yet to implement that (and will probably go that route once I've done the research on how to best implement it for purpose of access control of this intranet site).

How do I make a column invisible in a gridview? I tried to use this:
dataGridView.Columns(0).Visible = False
But its getting an error "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index". How can I do this?

I have a user that when I attempt to enumerate her groups using either System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Groups on user's computer
or System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Request.LogonUserIdentity.Groups on the IIS server, I get a list of their old groups, not their new. I have checked the DC that they authenticate to and the ASP.NET page is running inside a SharePoint instance so the LogonUserIdentity most like is being provided from there Kerberos ticket.
Should I be looking up the groups directly from the AD instead of relying on the WindowsIdentity or LogonUserIdentity?

i have a code to get the groups a user belongs to.

I did some finding and got that i am being returned the primary group of the domain user
called "Domain User" group
but what i actually want is the groups of the local machines the domain user is a part of... i cannot get that.. any suggestions

I have a gridview, in which one of the columns [unitid] is a link that opens up other gridviews. When the [downtime] column is equal to '0', i'd like the link in [unitid] to be removed, and just show that field as text. Here's my code for the gridview:

I'm doing a gridview with an object datasource:
List<MyObject> TheSource = a linq query
At some point, I have
MyGridview.DataSource = TheSource;
MyGridview.Databind();
and an OnRowDataBound event handler that's tied to the databinding.
In that event handler, how do you make column 2 contain 2 objects from TheSource. For instance, in the TheSource, there is a variable for FirstName and another one for LastName. Column 2 needs to contain both the first and last name in the same cell.

I am trying to retrieve a value from the row based on the user checking the checkbox but the only way it works is opposite of what I think it should be. The problem is I can only get the values if I set "If RowCheckBox.Checked = False" So I have rows returned in the gridview:
row1, record1
row2, record2
row3, record3
I want to check row1 and row3 and grab the values record1 and record3 I use:

I can get the file(image) to display, but it displays at a size that is too large for my use. Basically, right now, I'm pointing the ImageField to the first field in the grid that contains the url of the image. I could require the user to create a smaller image of the file but that seems a little excessive. Is there any way to control the size of the column displaying the image? Here is the html, we are using LINQ to get the data that is displayed in the grid.

I bound the gridview having some fields(ID, StudName, City) and Display Button. When I click on the Disply button I approve the student and updation will happen.
Bu what happen the column ID is not in the sequence. Sometime it displays 1,2,3,4,5,6 ... next time it will display 7,8,9,10,11.... I want a sequence for the column ID. For that I used :

and it is working fine.. But again I realize that these numbers are generating at runtime and i can't refer to that student. Also I don't want to display ID column on the grid view but I want to use on runtime generated column. [ i am using RowCommand for ID column ] How it is possible?
