i am sending email to the users using smtp client and MailMessage class.
i have been adding the addresses of multiple receivers in the to property of the object of MailMessage class. the problem is that the receiver can see the email addresses of other receipents. is there any way to hide the email addresses of other receipents.
i mean setting some property or something like that. otherwise i will be left with only option to send individual email to the users.

Is there a way to send the same email to multiple recipients but also send with an attachment to only 1 of them?eg. I have a form that gets filled out, the user gets a copy of the form with an attachment (file sits on server). The site owner also wants the email (through bcc) but without the attachment.

I am trying to send an email in ASP.NET using the email classes MailMessage and SMTPClient. The code works just fine but when the recipient address has Danish characters e.g. Niels.Østergaard@company.dk, the Send() method throws an exception complaining about the formatting of the address. How can this issue be resolved? The piece of code is as follows:
MailMessage mail = new MailMessage();
//set the addresses
MailAddress fromAddress = new MailAddress(from);

I am trying to build an email send inside VB and it is working great. However, I need to send it to more than one person. Here is what I have but it is not working. It just seems to ignore the second email address. Is this possible and if so, what is the syntax?
oMessage.To.Add(
New MailAddress("abc@123.com",
"def@456.net"))

I'm working on a MVC3 application. I need to send in some cases the same email to several users. What's the best way to do that?
I want that when the same message is sent to more users, every user see his address on the "to" field, but he shouldn't see others email
addresses? In my actual implementation I create a message for every user, but I think that's not really smart.
If I add the addresses in the "bcc" fields, how can I set every time correctly the "to" field avoiding to send duplicate messages?
I also tried this
[Code]....
but obviously it separates with a comma the addresses and so them are all visible.

I have used the mail mechanism : [URL] .....
I have used this solution. And it's working fine for single id. But when i am using multiple id as reciepent mail id , it's mailing the text only to the first id. I am providing multiple id as below:
mm.To.Add(New MailAddress("k.sumeet@ymail.com,k.amit9906239675@gmail.com"))
Here, if I place gmail id first and ymail id second, the would be send's only to gmail id not to ymail id, and same in case if I place ymail first and gmail second then mail send to ymail and not to gmail.

In my website I am developing "simple messaging system".I have 3 ASP controls on .aspx page, i.e., ListBox (that shows online users), multiline Textbox(to write a message) and Button("send" button, which sends message to the selected online users of ListBox)I am unable to implement below requirement:I have to select multiple online users from "ListBox", then type a message in multiline "Textbox" and click on "Send button". These messages are temporary so can not be stored in Database. I have to store them using "Application and Dictionary class".From these "Application and Dictionary class" I have to show the messages inside Pop up to the selected(from ListBox) online users.

I have small project (C#, Visual Studio 2005, .NET 2.0) that runs a SQL stored procedure and creates an e-mail from the result set. The "To," and "CC" fields are populated from the results. My procedure will only return a single "To" addressee but there can be multiple CC's. The stored proc is written to concatenate them all into a single string, e.g. "[URL]" etc. So..... in my project I am using System.Net.Mail. When I try to code "myMessage.CC.Add(read.GetString(3))" I get the following error:
The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address. In .NET 1.1 using System.Web.Mail this worked just fine. The change to System.Net.Mail resulted in this error. I really can't modify the stored procedure so I need to find a way to get my application to populate the CC field with the complete string returned by that stored procedure. How can I do this? The e-mail addresses are dynamic and I can't hard-code them.

How can I send a email message to just once person? When I use the following, I have to put in a valid sender address as well as the recipient address in order for my message to be sent. This will send two messages: One to the sender, and one to the recipient. How can I just have my application just send to the recipient only using the Smtp Client Class?
MailAddress fromAddress = new MailAddress(sender);
MailAddress toAddress = new MailAddress(recipient);
MailMessage message = new MailMessage(fromAddress, toAddress);
SmtpClient mailSender;
mailSender = new SmtpClient("Smtp.test.com", 25);
message.Bcc.Add(fromAddress);
message.Subject = subject;
message.IsBodyHtml = false;
message.Body = body;
