Create Tab Using Only Html And CSS To View In Outlook Mail?
Mar 14, 2011
I want to create an html file to send as an outlook mail in which i want to show 4-5 reports. In whicn if i click on first tab i can see report 1 and if i click on tab2, i can see the report 2 in same frame. I created same using javascript but that is not working in outlook mail. I tried CSS but I am able to view them using hover effect only not on onclick.
My requirement when user selects a particular mail and clicks the menu item it will display the particular mail details (To, cc, bcc, subject, Body, attachments...) in custom form.
I have created one a page and i am using data grid and data is coming from SQL.Now i want to create one button "Send this on Mail" when user will click this button outlook should open and in the body part my data grid should come with same formatting which i am using in a web page.
I am trying to send an email from our web server to a gmail account via System.Net.Mail but am failing miserably receiving this error message:
Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was:
that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) Using this code I am able to send emails to other email addresses on our Outlook email server:
[Code]....
So I know I am capable of sending email to Gmail with port 587 and using the proper credentials of my own Gmail account. That is not the problem.
The problem is I want to be able to have the mail sent from my application from whatever the user puts in the FROM (Email address): text box to a Gmail account. When I use the above code, the address that the email is sent from is my own.
So the question is: Is there any way to configure this to be able to send from an Outlook email server to a Gmail account without having to use my Gmail account to actually do it (using my credientials). Therefore showing the email as sent from whatever the user puts in the txtEmail text box, and having it sent from the Outlook server?
I know my SMTP uses the port 25 for outgoing mail and I am pretty sure that the Gmail settings block port 25 for incoming mail, which makes sense, but what doesnt make sense is I can compose a message in Outlook and send it to a gmail account, but I cannot automate this through my programming, which makes me feel certain its my programming.
how to add a html format in mail body message. here's my code:
MailMessage msg = new MailMessage("mail@[URL]", "tomail@[URL]", "Subject", "BODY MESSAGE WITH HTML FORMAT HERE...."); SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient("IPADD"); client.Send(msg); client.Timeout = 500; client.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials;
I have an asp.net / C# page which takes a comment, and then emails that comment. Sometimes when the user enters "&" in the comment, the comment is being truncated. So for example if the comment is "test & test" the email only sends out "test ".
I have tried HttpUtility.HtmlEncode - but it looks like the issue is on the outlook side and not on the C# side.
I want to open an outlook email with HTML formated text. This is working fine when i run it locally with a outlook application object. On the server, this is throwing an error saying An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The operation failed. I have given all the DCOM permissions. It didn't work.
how to prepopulate an outlook email's body and subject using the mailto: form of an anchor tag.
What I'd like to see is some examples of Outlook automation code on the server, that creates an Outlook template file (.ost?) and binary writes it to the browser - the browser recognising the extension and firing up outlook with the template.
This is internal and the user will definitely have Outlook.
I was wondering is there anyway to create a flag column similar to outlook or is there any 3rd party control out there that already has this feature built in?
develop one html website, but in this page i want to contact us page, in this page i fill all details and press send button , all fields data must be send unique mail( same like contact page .html )
I'm look for a way to pre-populate Asp.net form from E-mail Link. I tried several method such as:[URL]Our vendor is saying this should work but I'm having no luck with it. If someone can tell me what might be wrong with this or if there is another solution. This is being used for an e-mail campaign so that the user receiving the e-mail does not have to fill the form link is navigating to.
I send automated mails to hotmail users. (thank you for your registration bla bla)Because plain text doesn't look attractive enough, I use HTML with images. The images reside on a public webserver.
As SMTP server I use the SMTP part of IIS 7.5 (windows 2008 R2). I have an SPF record setup in the DNS. I have also read http://tinisles.blogspot.com/2009/09/sending-dkim-email-from-c.html and found out that sending mail with the SMTP service and a DKIM signature cannot be done properly without an external commercial component. So I do not have such thing (yet).
Now that is all about my background and here is the problem:I have this in my HTML:
<a href="http://www.mydomain.com">click here</a>
But when users get am e-mail like that and view it in hotmail. (chrome, IE, safari etc.) and when they hover the link they will see that the url is http://www.mydomain.com but when they click on it. It redirects to:
what am I doing wrong? Is it an SMTP/IIS server setting? Did I forget something in my Asp.Net C# code when I have send the mail? Did I forget something in the DNS or HTML markup? The link works perfectly when I receive the mail in my Outlook 2010 where the domain is also added to the safelist.
EDIT If it seems to be all related to the antispam stuff in hotmail. Should I consider to buy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98oc_5bjjkc
I got a issue with sending mail. The mail itself is made with plain text & html, it goes away good and all. Now the problem is that some get it like plain some get it like html. Like I tried to send one to myself on hotmail, It looked great was the html, seconds later I open it on my phone the same email address and there was the plain one. Some get the plain when looking on a computer to.How can I set priority on the html text instead of the plain? or is there a way?
Second I issue is that I can not send email to some mail's like any address with .pl in it. What could this possibly be? I should say that I do use my own winserver2008 and use the localhost smtp on it.
I am using Microsoft Outlook interop to display email with filled out email addresses and attachment.
Now Everything works fine except one problem with Attachment. The problem is that I am getting attachment from other methods as Byte Array and if I am not able to pass this byte array as attachment to outlook object's attachment. I believe tt requires a physical file from disk. how can I conver this Byte Array to attach it with Outlook.Attachment object?
Here is my code. In this code, for now I hardcoded attachment from "C: est.txt" but I need to change it to Byte Array, I tried but its throwing error.how can I change it to Byte Array?
Let's say there is a textbox and a dropdownlist in mainview page, these two values are used by three partial views as well. when I use Html.RenderAction to post action to those three partial views, how to pass these two values to those partial views and in those views how to get these two values as a part of a object to send to database.
I have some data which is HTML format saved in database. Like the chat as follows.

So, Is there any ways that I can show this in Text box as what I need. While debugging the code, when I did HTML Visulaliser, it showed me correct format. How can I achive this in my Textbox control.
