how to disable focus to a browser. i am currently working in .net application and i need to disable the tab focus to browser objects such as toolbars, address bar, since the user will not be using these components often.
I just need to set a focus on the texbox in the Page_Load event.
There are many ways to do this - from the simple textbox.focus() to HTML and Javascript. But none of these methods really works, because when the page loads the focus is always set to the browser address bar.
I'm developing a mobile application in ASP.NET and C#.The focus control does not work for windows mobile browser 5.0.QUESTIONDoes anyone have code for C# that can set the focus on a textbox for windows mobile 5.0 internet explorer?
I've seen two sites that have this really neat feature that's similar to a Winform dialog box, but better. I don't think I'll be able to explain it properly, so I captured some screenshots. In ebay, this is what you see when you browse listings and sort by shipping cost without having set your location: [URL] In Badoo, it's basically the same thing. If you haven't set a language preference, then it'll display a similar type of dialog box: [URL] Is this possible in asp.net? If so, would it be an add-on to my current webform, or would I need to rebuild the webform for this purpose?

My problem is that I have a TextBox with AutoComplete Extender and It's works but The browser save the text that i have Entered before so when i start writing to My text Box I have Two lists appear , one from the browser and one from the autocomplete
I want to disable the browser list and keep the autocomplete list only.
I have 2 domains that resolve to my web site www.mysite.com and www.mysitecommonmisspelling.com, plus the IP address. I have some code in my Global.asax file that was intended to force all users and crawlers to only use the main domain, like so:
Protected Sub Application_BeginRequest(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
'If the domain isn't the correct top level domain for this environment,
'we want to do a 301 redirect to tell the search engines that this is not the right domain to
'index. Dim Host As String = Me.EnvironmentHost Dim CurrentHost As String = Request.Url.DnsSafeHost[code]....
I checked and Google has not indexed any pages on www.mysitecommonmisspelling.com, so they are apparently respecting the 301. However, a few days ago we had a customer on our site who got free shipping because the licensing code that is only registered for www.mysite.com failed (in other words, the browser was able to access www.mysitecommonmisspelling.com). In the past, we have had issues with the 3rd party shipping component because users were able to access the site using the IP address.
In any case, we don't want users to be able to access the site without the correct domain so the SSL certificate doesn't complain.
I have searched for a way to disable 301 redirects in IE7, but there doesn't appear to be a way. So, what I am wondering is if there are any browsers that can disable 301, and if so what kind of workarounds can I put in place to ensure all browsers on my site are going to the main domain, www.mysite.com?
I have created a registration form where a User can fil up basic details and submit it.When user submit form a system generated username & password sent to user's mailid. I have a requirement to disable save as and print options of file menu of the browser in which my portal opens. For this i have used javascript code which clears the clipboard text.Because of this when my pplication is opened then copy paste wont work on the system.Iam calling this method on load of a startup page and afer clearing the clipboard text iam opening my home page through javascript with no menu bar just like a modal popup iam trying ot open. This is working fine for some browsers but IE7 and firefox users are unable to load the applicatio because of this javascript function. Can anyone suggest me how to overcome this or how to disable save as and print option. My final aim is user shouldnt be able to save or print my application data...
I am using Html.RenderAction<CartController>(c => c.Show()); on my master Page to display the cart for all pages. The problem is when I add an item to the cart and then hit the browser back button. It shows the old cart (from Cache) until I hit the refresh button or navigate to another page.
I've tried this and it works perfectly but it disables the Cache globally for the whole page an for all pages in my site (since this Action method is used on the master page). I need to enable cache for several other partial views (action methods) for performance reasons.
I wouldn't like to use client side script with AJAX to refresh the cart (and login view) on page load - but that's the only solution I can think of right now.
