JQuery: Reading JQuery File Over HTTPS Causing Access Is Denied?

Nov 17 10 at 14:17

We have a site that is public facing, let's say it's http://www.example.com. When the SSL is implemented, [URL], I can no longer access the jQuery 1.4.3 file on my own server. Furthermore, after a tweak to the security setting, I was able to get past the 'Access is Denied' error, but the first call was null.I understand there is a problem with different protocols actually being within the scope of the cross-domain problem? Is that true? And if so, will this now require JSONP?

Configuration :: "Access Denied" Exception Causing W3wp.exe Process To Crash

We recently migrated our ASP.NET 2.0 application to ASP.NET 4.0. It is running on Windows 2003 with IIS 6.0. Javascript Is Causing JQuery UI Error In Firebug?

Mar 29 at 17:53

So I am getting the following error in firebug regarding jQuery UI. It would be as simple if it was a matter of a process-of-elimination on the JS on the page, but there is allot of JS as well as some on the page and some on the site.master.

(this.uiDialogTitlebarCloseText = c("<span/>"))
.addClass("ui-icon ui-icon-closethick").text(m.closeText).appendTo
is not a function

Is there a way in Firebug to see what javascript is the initial caller?

Firefox Access To File Is Denied ?

Jan 30, 2009, 16:05

I've created an application to write a short line of text to a csv file in a folder inside the application (it is intended to provide some statistical information to my company's VPs on the number of first-time visitors to the page). In web.config I've set authentication to none and impersonate to false. We've given the ASP client write access to everything in the folder on the server (IIS 6.0 by the way) but here's the catch: Works fine in IE 7.0 - I get an "Access to file is denied." in Firefox 3. I've "fiddled" with everything I have access to fiddle with.

Denied Access To Save Xml File On My Server?

Mar 07, 2011 12:27 PM

My code is not being allowed to save an xml file in a folder on my server. Why is this?

you can see the error page here.. http://www.deutsch-english.org/

It seems to say something about not being authenticated and adding users to the config file. However this code has nothing to do with any users or groups, I just want it to always have permission to save files on the server. The code is purely internal, more like the core innerworkings of the site, it has nothing to do with users. I don't want to have to authenticate it, it shouldn't need authenticating, I just want it to work.

Access Denied When Try To Copy File To Another Directory After Upload?

Mar 21, 2009 03:27 AM

I have a simple vb.net form that gathers data and uploads a file. After the file is uploaded, I need to copy it into another directory on the same server. (yes, I need two copies..it's a long story). The file upload works fine, but when I try to copy the file to the other directory I keep getting an access denied error. What "service" or "user" do I need to give rights too, and what rights do they need? Since the directories are on the same server, this error is surprising/confusing me. Also, the ldestination directory is in a separate Website in IIS. Is that the problem?

App Data - Getting Access Denied Trying To Read A File In App_Data In A Project?

Jan 24 10 at 19:11

I've an XML file stored in App_Data which is only used to read some configuration on startup. When I attempt to open it within my code, I get an Access to the path ... is denied message.

I'm having trouble understanding why, and how to solve it. I guess in theory I should alter the permissions on the file (and directory), but this hasn't changed anything.

To give a bit more background:1. Its a file bundled with the project, so the setup created by VS2008 writes it to the correct place during install. I didn't think I'd need to do anything unusual post install such that the ASP.NET application would have access.

2. When I've tried publishing this locally, I've not had any problems. - This is only on a test Windows 2003 server.

3. I've ran a simple page to understand the effective user of IIS - It is NT AUTHORITYNETWORK SERVICE. I tried granting "Full Access" to this user to this file, and still it doesn't work. The code to open it is simple:

FileStream fs = new FileStream(Server.mapPath(s), FileMode.Open);

Where s is defined as '~/App_Data/myfile.xml

I've even copied and pasted the full path & filename (from the exception) and tried "dir" on it, and it is indeed present (to get around a typo for example).I've also tried running aspnet_regiis.exe /s

Migrated from Windows 2000 ASP.NET 1.1 to Windows 2003, ASP.NET 2.0 and had this error. All the forums/MSDN/Blogs says to give Read/Write Access to C:WindowsTemp folder. Why should we give Full Access to some folder in Production server?? In windows 2000, ASP.NET 2.0 development machine, no files are created when we run crystal reports from aspx pages. Then why in Windows 2003 servers, we need to give rights to temp folder?? It is a simple code

And the code is not storing anything on the disk. Then why should it store the GUID.rpt file in Temp file in Windows 2003 server?? Any alternative is there not to store anything on the disk when Crystal Reports are opened in aspx page??

Allow A User To Upload A File To The Webserver Via HTTP - Access Denied Error Message

Nov 06, 2008 12:34 PM

Test server environment: xpPRO 64 bit, asp.net c# v1.1 Production server 2003, 32 bit, asp.net c# v1.1 IIS 6.0. I'm in the process of creating a module that will allow a user to upload a file to the webserver via HTTP, then the user can FTP the file from the webserver to the FTP server (some of our clients dont allow FTP access to the outside world....) User selects a file, its stored with and FTP_ prefix and a unique hash based on the Session ID and time.

The original filename and "saved as" filename are stored into a database so that it can be returned to at a later date to upload to FTP. The file gets uploaded to the server fine, but when it tries to ftp it, dumps an access denied error. Currently this works perfectly on my dev server, but gives the access denied error when I try it on our test server. I've set the Data directory to allow full control for everyone (as a last resort) and still getting the error. Is there something specific for the test server that I'm missing? The only thing I can think of is when the file gets uploaded, it doesn't get released and thats why the access denied is getting triggered (cos the file may still be in use)
