I am working with a sql server database with about 50 stored procedures. The database and stored procedureswere not created by me. The stored procedures all begin with a number in their name.
Example: 17P_Comsetter
The problem I am having is that if I try and execute the stored procedure at the command line in Query Analyzer,the query analyzer appears not to like that the stored procedure begins with a number. For example:
If I try an run the stored procedure as follows:
EXEC 17P_Comsetter
Then I get the following error message:
Msg 102, ..... Incorrect Syntax near '17'
I am using SQL server 2005. Does anyone know why I am getting this error message?
I have written some vb code that inserts whatever has been written on my page into an Access database. Only problem is VWD throws up an error saying that the syntax of my SQL statement is wrong. I am 95% sure that this statement is correct because when I saw the statement in Text Visualizer and tried that statement in MYSQL the data went in perfectly.

I've been looking on the Internet for a fairly clear explanation of the different methods of registering javascript in an asp.net application. I think I have a basic understating of the difference between registerStartupScript and registerClientScriptBlock (the main difference being where in the form the script is inserted).I'm not sure I understand what the RegisterClientScriptInclude method does or when it is used. From what I can gather, it is used to register an external .js file. Does this then make any and all javascript functions in that file available to the aspx page it was registered on? For example, if it was registered in the onLoad event of a master page, would all pages using that master page be able to use the javascript functions in the .js file? What problems would arise when trying to use document.getElementById in this case, if any? Also, when it is necessary/advantageous to use multiple .js files and register them separately?

First off, I am usting .NET 3.5 Ajax,...and I am including javascript in my partial page refreshes...using this code:

It works perfectly, my javascript code contained in the script variable is included every partial refresh.
The javascript in script is actually quite extensive though, and I would like to store it in a .js file,..so logically I make a .js file and try to include it using RegisterClientScriptInclude ...however i can't for the life of my get this to work. here's the exact code:

the testscript.js file is only included in FULL page refreshes...ie. when I load the page, or do a full postback....i can't get the file to be included in partial refreshes...have no idea why..when viewing the ajax POST in firebug I don't see a difference whether I include the file or not....
both of the ScriptManager Includes are being ran from the exact same place in "Page_Load"...so they should execute every partial refresh (but only the ScriptBlock does).

I have an error message box that gets displayed somewhat frequently (due to the nature of my program). Some sample code:

The problem is that I don't want to force the user to always click the 'close' button, because these messages popup relatively frequently. I was thinking that a timed fade out would be a good option to follow. However, I can't work out how to call a timer to do a fadeout from my codebehind -- ie. Currently the codebehind sets 'display=block' to show the error, but I am not away that it can also launch some JS to fade out a box.
BTW, I am using Telerik controls, so would prefer to extend those rather than use the ASP Ajax fading extensions from Microsoft (I couldn't get them to work either, as it came up with a conflict with Telerik controls).

The SQL statement that is being generated is - UPDATE tblUser SET [Password]=[chuck68] WHERE UserID=0000009
With tblUser being the correct name for the table, Password being the correct name for the field I wish to change and UserID being the linked field to lookup the password from.
