The Web Platform installer is not installing VWD 2010 however. At first it notified us that the OS does not allow it, after running tons of updates on the OS (some of which failed) it is still not doing it, not even donwloading it. The latest message simply asked us to post the error on the forum

The site was built in Visual Web Developer 2008 Express edition, could this be the problem? If so is there a way around it without having to upgrade to VWD 2010?

In design view the control is now showing as "unknown server tag asp:chart". I can see the Chart control in the data tab in the toolbox but it is greyed out.
