we're facing a weird and seemingly randomly appearing problem where the browser renders the complete, raw HTTP response (to a GET request) including all headers and the compressed content as text instead of just using the contents and rendering it. This happens for whole page loads as well as postbacks as well as page loads inside an iframe; for sure in Firefox 3.6.*, not sure about IE right now.
Our service is an ASP.NET 2.0 web app running on IIS 7.5, on our test machines we regularly have Fiddler running in the background (wondering if this might be part of the problem).
This behaviour occurs very rarely but we have started seeing this problem lately during our tests.
Has anybody encountered this problem before and knows what causes it and maybe even knows what to do about it?
I have an ajax tabcontainerpanel. What I would like to do is programatically change the text (header template text value) of one of the TabPanels (ID="TabPanel10B") depending on the selected option of a dropdownlist. Is this possible?
I try to send an email with the html generated from an aspx file. But having this problem that only capture the aspx text not the html rendered by aspx. how can i do it , must use htmltextwriter? This is the code sample
<%@ Import Namespace="System.IO" %> <!--#include virtual="/asp/enviamail.aspx"--> <% Dim FILENAME as String = Server.MapPath("/boffice/adcasas.aspx") Dim sw As StreamWriter 'Get a StreamReader class that can be used to read the file Dim objStreamReader as StreamReader objStreamReader = File.OpenText(FILENAME) Dim contents as String = objStreamReader.ReadToEnd() dim strBody strBody = "<html>" strBody = strBody & "<head></head>" strBody = strBody & "<body>" strBody = strBody & Chr(13) & "A sua prereserva foi suplantada" strBody = strBody & Chr(13) & "Obrigado.Esperamos que o nosso serviço vá de encontro ás suas expectativas." strBody = strBody & "</body>" strBody = strBody & "</html>" dim sformat="MailFormat.Html"..........
I have a page that allows users to upload photos and when they click the upload button it renders a few textboxes used to change the photo's information and also the displays the photo. After they are done upload photos, they can then insert all the information in each of the textboxes. Then users click the Upload button and it takes all the information and places it in the database. The problem is that when I say "get the text from these textboxes" using the textbox IDs, it tells me that those textbox IDs are not in the current context.
For this web page, The img is now showing up in print preview and is printing. From FireFox, the shrik-to-fit option works great in preview and print out they look perfect. The problem is with IE 8 (havne't tested other version) The image and other stuff comes out fine. The section that consist of panel and the AjaxCtrl:TabContainerer, the Active Tab with its text content are shrunk to like 60% from the right edge of the paper. The fonts are very small and readable. I tried playing with the scale percentage in the print preview of IE but it increase size on all the content and not just the AjaxCtrl:TabContainerer part.
I have a .net 3.5 web form with an ajax combo box and a text box inside it. The bombo box is bound to a SqlDataSource.
My requirement is to show/hide the text box depending on the text of the selected item in the combo box. If a particular string, say 'xyz', appears in the text of the selected item, the I will make the text box invisible. I enabled the AutoPostback, made the text box disappear in the SelectedIndexChanged event, and everything worked fine.
However, when users enter their own texts (which are not in the list items), I am unable to show / hide the text box. I've tried the TextChanged event but nothing happens. It seems the event is not trigger after I enter a new text and locate the focus to other place.
is there a way to prevent the user ented text from being inserted into the bombo box?
I have a problem with the Ajax ComboBox from the Ajax Control ToolKit. When I want to erase the text in the ComboBox, I got this error:
"Microsoft JScript runtime error: '_optionListItems[...].text' is null or not an object". I only get this error when deleting the content of the Combox is the first action I do on the ComboBox. If I overwrite the text by entering something else before deleting this text, I got no error.
Currently we are saving files (PDF, DOC) into the database as BLOB fields. I would like to be able to retrieve the raw text of the file to be able to manipulate it for hit-highlighting and other functions.Does anyone know of a simple way to either parse out the files and save the raw text on save, either via SQL or .net code. I have found that Adobe has a filtdump utility that will convert the PDF to text. Filtdump seems to be a command line tool, and i don't see a way to use a file stream. And what would the extractor be for Office documents and other file types?-or-Is there a way to pull out the raw text from the SQL Full text index, without using 3rd party filters?Note i am trying to build a .net & MSSql solution without having to use a third party tool such as Lucene
