View 1 Repliesin my asp.net+vb web with access database i iam willing to show a marquee with live data from database.
.aspx code
<marquee behavior="scroll" direction="left">
<div ><asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="Label1"></asp:Label></div></marquee>
.vb code
Dim ConString As String = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("baijuep").ConnectionString
Dim con As New SqlConnection(ConString)
Dim CmdString As String = "SELECT KNo, companyto FROM (InOut) where PosnASOn >= now()-2"
Dim Adpt As New SqlDataAdapter(CmdString, ConString)
Dim KNo As New DataSet()
Adpt.Fill(KNo)
For Each dr As DataRow In KNo.Tables(0).Rows
Label1.Text &= dr("KNo").ToString() + "<br />"
Next
End Sub
when i use the query (SELECT KNo, companyto FROM (InOut) where PosnASOn >= now()-2)
in query analyser it works fine and the data is displayed but when i use the complete code .vb is not dispying data in to label.
i'm new to this forum so please don't punish me if i do somethin wrong :).Okay what i need is a Marquee in ASP.NET C# which consits of something like buttons, hyperlinks or something like that.The arquee as it self is no problem at all. It Shows Data as a String from the SQL Database seperated by a "-"The problem is that i need for each "entry" of this marquee an onClick functionality and that each entry should hold a guid as property.So that if i click on one entry the onClick function fires and get's the guid property to get data from the database relating on that guid.

View 3 RepliesI am having trouble with getting the Jscroller2 too work inside an updatepanel after I have added a marquee as a newsbanner. - (The marquee is running outside the updatepanel)Beforer the marquee was present I could trigger the JavaScript with:

Now the Jscroller2 only works when the page is loading the first time and not after the updatepanel has updated.So my question is how do I get the Javascript to fire after the updatepanel have updated when a marquee is present?

View 1 RepliesI have a drive 'F' with 40G free space. I try to restore a database whose data + log file size is 60G.
The restore fails. Is it because a full restore needs free disk space of 60G in this case?
Ok, I have some experience, but I have always started with something and moved on from there.
I want to create a ASP.net Project in MSVC 2008 with the following...
- SQL 2005 database that I can use MSQL Server Management Studio with
- Forms authentication
- Authentication/roles etc is stored in the above database
So far every attempt has resulted in a database that when I attach with MSQL Management Studio I am logged in as guest, and thus can't do much.
I use the code, to display the file that I saved in the database.the question is: why the file can not be performed with a full screen.
protected void View(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
int peraturan_id = int.Parse((sender as LinkButton).CommandArgument);
Session["peraturan_id"] = peraturan_id;
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "open", "window.open('file_view.aspx','_blank' );", true);
}
[Code] ....
I am getting following error ...when trying to do any operation....
"The transaction log for database 'MyDatabase' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc
column in sys.databases"
I tried to shirnk file log file using ...
dbcc shrinkfile(EMRSET_log,1) But still same issue....And its show ...
DBName 4 ACTIVE_TRANSACTION (log_reuse_wait, log_reuse_wait_desc) ...
What steps i do to resolve this issue. Using MS SQL 2008
I have an UpdatePanel with a button that, when clicked, calls a WebService. I attached an UpdateProgress to it that shows a "loading" gif while it runs. Everything works fine, but I need a full PostBack once the operation is complete because I'm using my company's custom template that displays an info message and enables a "Next" button upon completion.I've had partial success with the endRequestHandler but I'm not sure what to put in my function to force a full postback once the UpdatePanel has run its course. I'm getting into the endRequestHandler function but I have been unable to successfully get a full PostBack.Here is my current code (including several attempts), the bottom part being the focus:

I have basically the following structure set up :

I am aware that a FileUpload requires a full page postback. I read the article http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/090209-1.aspx[^]I tried to install a PostBackTrigger programmatically to get a full postback only on the ImageButton1 control. All other postbacks must be partial. (GridView sorting, paging, ...)In code behind I do :
[Code]....
The above code does not seem to install a full postback only for the ImageButton1, so the file upload fails. How can I make this work ?
I have got the following gridview with a UpdatePanel and approve and save button in each row. How do I create a full postback if approve button is click and asyncPostback if save button is click.
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server">

<asp:PostBackTrigger ControlID="btnApprove" />
</Triggers>

I have a webform which has an updatepanel with a combobox, add button, delete button and a table. The functiion of the two buttons is to add or delete table rows. However, the table is getting cleared everytime the combobox item is selected. Is there anotherway of retaining the table contents?The code for the updatepanel is:
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanelTreatment" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional">
<triggers>
<asp:PostbackTrigger ControlID="cboTreatment" />
asp:PostbackTrigger ControlID="btnAdd" />
I am having an issue with an update panel, which is still causing the entire page to postback.
I have made sure i have all the correct bits in the web.config, section groups, httphandlers, httpmodules, additonal assemly etc... but it still does not work. I have got it to work in a way,which is why i think i have the config right, because if i take the search panel of and place it outwith the update panel, the go button only postsback the rest of the page not what is inside the updatepanel.
I am using a master page, but the update panel only appears in the content page, within the content tags.
[Code]....
The bellow code working, but i don't know it the write way or not?
<td align="center" style=" height:50px; width:100%; background-color:Red;width:10%;">
<div id="divremview" >
<marquee behavior="scroll" direction="up">
<div id="div1"><asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="Label">Hi</asp:Label></div>
</marquee>
</div> </td>
Also it not in center alignment. As usual it in left alignment
We have a fairly complex content management system where we start with a blank page with just an updatepanel, then in the init function add all the controls, this all works fine.The problem I'm having is that when the loginform control logs in, we get data back from the server that looks like:
|#||4|64|pageRedirect||%2findex.aspx%3feventid%3d1079%26AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport%3d1|1|#||4|15647|updatePanel|ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_contentup|
<span id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_DEBUG"></span><div id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_content">
<div class="contentWrapper">
<div class="form">
<div id="errors">
<div id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ctl03" style="display:none;">
</div></div>

how can i show the full blown .net exception that may occur on an ajax enabled page. i want it to show like it would if the page wasnt using ajax. This for my QA environment for which i dont have the option to temporarily disable update panel. Also i dont want javascript to handle it as our QA testers are wanting to see the usual full blown asp.net exception.
View 1 RepliesI have an AJAX controller action which returns JSON. The returned JSON is handled via jQuery and contains a message displayed in an update div. The JSON also contains a flag which indicates a change in state. If this is true the entire page needs to be reloaded from a different url. This is currently performed in the jQuery using window.location.replace(url). In the situation where a full page refresh occurs, I still want to display the message from the JSON in the update div, but after the page has fully reloaded.
How can I ensure the div is updated with the message after the window.location.replace call and the page has been completely reloaded? (I realise AJAX is not intended for full page refreshes but I can't think of a simple way of avoiding it in this scenario. Normal behaviour here is updating the div with a status message.)
We have recently upgraded to Framework 3.5 from 2.0. Since then, areas of the site now do full postbacks where they did partial postbacks in 2.0. There are numerous cases and they seem to differ. In one case there is a image button within a repeater that
is in an update panel. The update panel is also within a user control. In 2.0 the click of the image button would cause a partial postback. Now in 3.5, it results in a full postback. If the repeaters' ItemCommand event is set up in the update panels' asyncpostback
triggers, it will work again. Shouldn't the controls be picked up by the updatepanel by default? Other areas of the site that use similar controls and methods seem to work fine.
Having to some kind of code fix is really not an option. We would require a full scale manual retest of the whole site to find all the partial postbacks that no longer work and try and fix. We do not have the time or resources to handle that. I am hoping there is a setting or property in the web.config that I am overlooking that could be set that would return everything to working as it did in 2.0.
