I am trying to figure out a way to change the color of the text display in a label control or span inside a user control. The text needs to be displayed in a different colour based on the value returned.
<asp:Label ID="NameLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Name").ToString()=="Flying Bats" ? "Display the text in green" : "Display the text in red" %> '/>
The text value would be one of the two. The font color needs to be ether red or green based on whats been returned.I cannot figure out how to do it.
For this I am using ASP.NET 4.5, C#, and Entity Framework to SQL.
I have some sections of my site where users can make multiple entries and can optionally upload attachments. There is a page where the user can see a gridview that acts as an overview of the entires. I have been asked to display a column with a paperclip icon if an attachment exists.
The way the database is structured, the table that holds the entries has columns like this:
The attachments are in another table. For this table the attachmentId will hold an Int32 or be NULL (no attachment). My current query looks like basically like this:
var query = context.applications.Where(c => c.id == applicationPrimaryKey); var results = result.educationUniversities.ToList(); gdvEducationUniversity.DataSource = results; gdvEducationUniversity.DataBind();
I somehow need to create a condition where an image of a paperclip is shown if the attachmentId value is not Null. Optionally I imagine the query could be re-written to return a true/false value based on if the attachmentId value is null though I'm not certain how to do this.

I have a gridview that contains columns of electrical specification (value, resistance, etc.). The rows are populated with archival data from previous versions of th same part (rev A, rev B, etc.).
The question is: is there any way for me to review each row and set the font color to red if the value is different from the cell below, or above? This would highlight where changes were made to each individual revision of a part from the previous version.

I have an ImageButton where I want to change Image every 3:rd second. (When pressing the button a browser will open with an URL with is the functionality I am after also) For the moment I do use this method with a Timer and it works fine except for one thing.
Every time the image change you can see in the bottom of the browserwindow, this message: "Downloading http://...... 1.jpg" etc....
It just "blinks" and it goes very fast but still it is kind of annoying in the long run...
So I wonder if I can find a better solution or if it is possible to Turn off this message to not be seen ?: "Downloading http://...... 1.jpg"
