Data Controls :: Collect Data From Table And Pass It Through Link

In "ads" table where those info into controllers below will be stored, the table has "AdsID" column which generate automatic number of each row. So what i am looking for is after inserting the info form controllers inside table , get the AdsID number of row which just created when the button clicked and pass the row number "AdsID" and "AdsTit" through EditAds.aspx. so the link suppose to be such as:
EditAds.aspx?AdTit= here AdsTit &AdNum= here AdsID

I have a datalist and the following link button within the datalist:

I would like to post to a new page and then capture the value from the link button (commandArgument). It appears from other threads I've seen that you have to rebind the datalist in order for the ItemCommand event to fire...is this true? I'd hate to make another DB call to bind my datalist just to make an event fire.

I have a gridview. The fields are displayed in table in itemtemplate. Each row has a unique id called UserId.There is a linkbutton for Editing in each row.
When the Edit linkbutton is clicked, I need to get the details in that row to another page. Is this done using querystring.

how to pass a row in the datagrid from another table?
like when i type the data in the column and press "Tab", i want it to retrieve a row from another table.
and my data is already bind to table to make it more clear i have student table, and courses taken by student and the courses table so the courses taken by student is bind to student table, when i navigate between students it also navigate throw courses taken by student, which i like but when i want to add a new course to the table, i add the course_code, and i want it to fill (Course_name, course_type, course_chs) when i press "tab" in courses taken by student table from the courses table.
how can i do this?

I need your assistance for this task. I have three tables Company, Division and divisionDetails .I need to link the division with company table. The following shows the Data hierarchy .
Company table:

Division table:

DivisionDetails table:

In the input screen i have the check box list to show the company . Upto insert i have no problem.on Update and delete i have some Serious worry on how to this..

i have a table with a bindary data field in it (excel, pdf, word files etc).
In gridview i want to have a colum that the user can click on to open or download that file. The file is stored in the database and not on the directory.
I have searched some things but only came up with complex stuff.. I am trying to stay away from complex because i am a total noob.
