Refering to your article on exporting the gridview to Word/Excel/PDF/CSV, I modified to code to populate the GV dynamically coz they have different data and different columns as per the selection. But after the data population, when I try to export the data it does not export any data instead for eg. in Word it just export <div> </div>. The code is pasted below.

I want to download all the pages from a gridview to excel, I have the code which is working. But the problem is that it gets the data only from the current page.
I tried making paging=false. But it doesnt work. And if i use databind it does not get any data from the gridview.

I have implemented excellent code for saving Gridview to Excel, CSV, Word.
I also have a Dropdown control that filters rows by selected values in a specific column, and then only rows with the selected values are displayed in the Gridview.
However when saving to Excel and other formats, all rows are saved, not just the selected ones. Is there a method to filter the Gridview by dropdown selection and be able to save only selected rows?

I have a gridview which contains a templatefield. Inside this is an ImageButton and a dropdownlist. This is all created in the aspx page, although the ddl list items are populated in the RowDataBound event in the vb page. When i change the selected item in the drop down list and hit the imagebutton, the selected item is not maintained after postback. Instead the first record is displayed in the dropdownlist. I have wrapped an If Not Page.IsPostback around the datasource and databind's but this doesn't help. I have tried enabling viewstate in all areas on the page too, but still nothing. The list items for the ddl must be created on RowDataBound also. As far as I am aware, my ddl is not really dynamic, its just the list items which I add in the code behind which are classed as dynamic.

I have created a web app with a gridview that is connected to an sql data source to extract data. The web app consists of two pages (default.aspx and rategrid.aspx). On the default page i have a button that when clicked it displays rategrid page with the gridview data. On rategrid page I also have two buttons (one to go back to default page and one for export to word). When I click the word button, i get error (Control 'GridView1' of type 'GridView' must be placed inside a form tag with runat=server.).I have already looked at references online that reference to put (Public Overloads Sub VerifyRenderingInServerForm(ByVal control As Control) in code for Word button. However, I am still getting the same error.

I have data display in a gridview base on a dropdownlist. Basically, base on the downlist selection my gridview will be populated with the corresponding data. I have addresses and emails in the list. Where I am stuck and not sure how to do is export the emails to outlook for a mailmerge. For example, when the user clicks on button to send the emails in Outlook. I am trying to export a gridview that is returned from a search form. The gridview also has paging enabled. In order to export the records from all pages in the gridview I had to turn off paging and do a databind, but instead of only exporting the search results it exports all the records in the gridview.
How can I only export the records from the search results, but also the make sure the records on the different pages export also?
