My page includes a button and a GridView bound to a LINQ data object which is bound to a table. when the page loads the gridview gets populated with the data and all work well. The button has an empty method, when I click the button I get en error message "Intenet explorer cannot display the web page" I put a break point at the begining of the method listed below but I get the error message before it gets there. If I remove the gridview than the button works well.

When image button(+) is pressed the selected row of gridview1 is shifted to 2nd gridview.And in the 2nd gridview there is also a imagebutton(delete),when the delete button is pressed that row will move to 1st gridview.

I am very new in asp.net c#. I am trying to edit data from gridview button column click. the code is given below:

Once I click that button, OnItemCommand="datagrid_ItemCommand" method should be called.
Its working in IE but not in Firefox.

In my div displaying list of records using gridview. The div properties are like height=200, width=200, overflow-y:scroll, etc. I know in gridview we will get a default Page navigation bar appened to the records (it could be bottom or top) but what I want is records in gridview is scrobble and page navigation bar should be static at both the places (bottom and top). if we enabled page navigation bar in gridview...it will be appended to the gridview records and it will be scroll along with records but i want static page navigation bar.

It works fine uptil page loads.I have functionality to delete rows from gridview.Once i click delete button from gridview the width of header columns get decreased then the width od data inside gridview.It means depending on the content of data the size gets variable.HOW to show data inside gridview irrespective of the content of data.

I came across a page that showed a solution for freezing the top (header) row of a gridview and allowed it to be scrollable. Here is the article: [URL] ....
It works and I was able to freeze the top row! However, I have a nested gridview ("gridview2") within that gridview ("gridview1") and I need to freeze it's header row...but I am encountering the following compilation error: "The name 'gridview2' does not exist in the current context"
I have tried many approaches to solve this, including calling the javascript function on the button event in which gridview2 is displayed, however I receive the compile error every time.
Here is the code that is causing the error:

How to adjust the width of the columns headers because for some of my gridviews the headers not showing the proper format. in the gridview I gave HorizontalAlign="Left" and in the columns I gave

I have a simple GridView with AutoGenerateColumns,Edit and DeleteButton = true
It's data source is a DataTable dynamically generated.
Since i don't want to use object data source, i just catched Delete event and deleted rows from datatable and made a new databind. It works.
I tried to use also AutoGenerateEdit button, but when i click on Edit command field, nothing happes. So i decided to handle by myself edit events, and changed datagrid in this way:

I got a function to load a grid view and works fine. Then, I got a button, when click, I wanted to add a new row into the grid, what I did is I add a new to to the dataset and rebind the dataset to the grid view.
The problem I faced is that is it able to add a new row, but it only shows ONE column only, which is the most left column.

im now created a function where i can import excel file to be displayed in gridview and then insert the data from gridview into database.
It is running smoothly until i copied the page into another file. Suddenly, when i try to display the gridview, it does not appear.
I've try copied everything exactly the same like the original one, but still failed.
Does anyone have experience like this before?
