In order to use a third party API, I had to create a page that does not have form runat="server" in it. Because my app is using MasterPages and have a consistent look and feel throughout the application, though not too thrilled w/ the solution, I had to use iframe to embed this page into my app.It works fine but here's what I want to do. When the API call succeeds, I display a message and want to also place a hyperlink to send the user back to their home page. I think you see what I'm getting at by now. If I do this and the user clicks the link, it's all happening within the iframe. How do I send the user back to his home page and affect the whole page and not just the iframe page?
I Have a webpage suppose ParentPage.aspx which contains a iframe. Under iframe i am calling another webpage Childpage.aspx . Now i want to access ParentPage controls from ChildPage and change the property of that control.

Below i am writing a code which i am trying. In this code Page.PreviousPage is always null .
I have a web form that contains a dropdownlist which shows list of cities in it. I have an add button on click of which I am opening a Popup window to open a new page that contains a text box where in i am entering new city name and submit button.
I want that after click submit button the window should be closed and on the parent page the dropdownlist gets refreshed with the new value. I am able to do it but the whole page gets postbacked which I do not want. I have added the dropdownlist in the update panel but not able to do the partial postback.
I have a web form called default.aspx which has a form with user information. In addition to this, I have an iFrame on the same page that displays a page Secondary-Form.aspx that has a few additional dynamic data fields. I need to do two things.
1. I need to pass the parent form data in real time to the iFrame page to refresh its content and modify it's fields accordingly. Example: If the user submits their Vehicle Choice as Car on parent form, the form item in iFrame will display a radio button that says Honda, and if the user submits their Vehicle Choice as MotorCycle in the parent page, the iFrame will display Harley Davidson as the radio button choice
2. The submit button is on the parent page. I want both pieces of this information (from the parent page, as well as iFrame selection) to be passed to a server side ASPX page to process this information.the default.aspx and Secondary-Form.aspx files are located on different domains.
I have a data driven asp.net website with frames on the top, left, right and center screen. If a page generates an error on any of the frames, I want to redirect the whole site back to the Default.aspx. Currently, when a frame page errors in one of the frames, that frame gets the error pages. Site is URL.... Is this something that can be handled?
I have a table on my page. I need to scroll down a little to get to that table. In that table i have som data that i edit and save to database. When the save is done i need to refresh the page( Response.Redirect(Request.RawUrl )) so it loads the new data to that table. When the refresh is done the page is on top again so that i need to scroll down again to see the table. This makes it very unusable for the user.
How can i refresh the page without it going back to top again? I tryed wrapping an updatepanel around the table but it didnt
I have a user controlThe user selects some items from user control (check box list)User clicks update button on user control The new rows get updated on a gridview on calling page & user control is hidden
a)I have made the user control but I dont know how to return the results and bind them with gridview on my calling page.
b) Update: If I create the update button outside the user control and on my calling page and then on its button click event Isomehow access user control checkbox list selected items would that be a good approach ? And how to do this stuff ?
I have a Parent Page that includes an iframe containing html page with many field. The parent page contains the "Save" button. Now i want to get the values of iframe page while submitting the parent page. How can i access the iframe pages fields in parent page submit?
The problem is that i have a search page. Access Database holding the information. I have a Access Datasource on the page with a Datalist to show the data. I need to find a way on setting it up to says "Sorry no results found" when the is no results. i am unsure on how to do this though.
I am in little confusion to send date from second page that is Calander.aspx to the Page from where it has been called. The confusion is that the following code is in the Calander.aspx:
In Parent page, the textbox is in formview and there is an image when we click it the above code activated and gets the date using above line of code and sends back to the parent page from where it is called. The confusion is that if this calandar is in other pages therefore do I have to add the following line of code in the above MyDateChange() function for each page textbox or there are more then one textbox to take date as input in same page?
The application.aspx page contains a multiview, and the applicant1 user control is in one of the views. The button continue takes the visitor to the next view which contains another user control of text boxes.
I want to write validation code on the continue_Click event which is in the application.aspx.cs page. Ideally, from the application.aspx.cs code behind page, I want to get the user input from a text box in applicant1.
Intellicense cannot seem to find any of the text boxes in applicant1 from application.aspx.cs.
