How To Get The Time Slot Of Telerik's Scheduler From Client Side By The Time Or Date Of That Time Slot
Nov 19, 2010
I'm using Telerik's RadScheduler Control with WebService Binding.
I've used RadScheduler with Server Side Binding which has an event called "OnTimeSlotCreated" which fires every time when a particular time slot creates so that i can access the time slot and get the control (HtmlTableCell Control) to modify it according to the requirement.
But now i'm binding it from client side through WebService which has no such "onClientTimeSlotCreated" event, also these time slots are not having any identity at client side to access.
I'm currently developing a system for booking of discussion room in a college. This system will allow the staff to help the students to make booking in advanced as well as for instant walk in usage.I've got a table to keep track of bookings, another for walk in and one for time slot.
For the time slot table, it includes start time slot and end time slot, which is 30 minutes interval for each. What i'm currently facing is that the system could not display the correct available time slot. I think it's the formula problem which I still can't get it solved.
Example:If the booking time is 8.30am - 9.00am, I have no problem showing the 1st slot as N/A.
But if the time is 8.45am - 9.15am, the system only update the 1st slot as N/A while the 2nd slot still remain as AVAILABLE which is wrong. Because since the time ends at 9.15, I would like the slot 9.00am - 9.30am to be N/A as well.
This would be my code:

I have total 21 time slot count in my table. And the arrCC113Availability is an ArrayList keeping track of the availability of each slot for that particular room.Is there any other formula which can cater for all the conditions?
restrict user not to insert data in a booked time slot, suppose User reserved an item say below dates, now how to restrict other users to reserve that item at the below time.
My Data entry form required to login the Date/time user's making changes to the record. The problem is, my Host server is in California and my users are in NY, so currently the Time is logged in using CA time where I would like to use local time. What are options for me to achieve this?
How could I go about having a client in various time zones select a date and time in their web browser and save it as utc time in my sql database? This date is a date in the future, so whether or not the date is in daylight savings time could change so I'll need to account for that.
My web application has hosted on the canada server but my all clients are indians. So, as I am using System.datetime.Now to store all the dates in application.Obviously, it is displaying the canadian time instead of india time. How can i do it?Is there not any gloabl settings that we can do in our web.config file so that it indicates to the server at run time which time zone to execute..?Or any other suitable alternate?
i have to listen my mail server for every 30 min. i have a distribution list and i want to count number of email comes for that distribution list and no of replies goes from the outlook for every 30 minutes. also i need to get the time difference between the replied time with arrived time of the mail. so show me some sample code
The client side validation will work sometimes, and other times it will put out a JS error.Webpage error details

I need to save a text file on the client side possibly without permission. The case is that I need to save this text file in a shared folder in this or in another machine in the lan. This text file is going to be read automatically by the fiscal printer which will print the fiscal invoice. I have a asp .net web application and the server is not on the same lan with the fiscal printer, so I have to write it on the client-side. how to do this without asking to the user every time for the security issue.
I can accept a solution like, the client is asked only one time a the first printing, but not every time he wants to print a bill. Some kind of asking permission to the client for allowing this website, in order to not repeat the permission asking.
I want to be able to pull the clients date/time and then show it in my asp.net web page. I know if I do now.tostring, it will show the servers date and time. How can I do this?
Using: visual web developer 2008; Asp.net; Access db; VB.net code
how to suppress the "AM" in the gridview (template Bind("RideTimeMin", "{0:t}")? Don't tell me to use military time because the function is not "time on a clock"; it's how much time is allowed for a task (in this case the min/max hours & minutes that horses have to complete a 20 mile trail; e.g. 05:00, 05:27, etc). I'm currently accomplishing this in the "ondatabound" function by "..RTmin.Replace("AM","")". I have looked and looked at all the websites that talk about datetime formatting but have yet to find a way to do it upfront in the gridview bind statement.
In my asp.net application I user Microsoft Membership to manage site access security and find the time saved into LastLoginDate is ahead of local time (Eastern Time Zone) 3 hours. What is wrong with it and how to ajust it to local time by application system only such as changing some properties od application?
Find if the current time falls within hourly ranges and display the start hour and end hour of that range in labels.
Examples:
If the current time is 8:46am, label startTime would return "8am" and label endTime would return "9am" If the current time is 10:01pm, label startTime returns "10pm" and label endTime returns "11pm" If the current time is 12:59am, label startTime returns "12am" and label endTime returns "1am"
I have been working with the C# TimeRange class but not getting what I need.
select distinct tbl.emp_code, b.EmplName, convert(varchar, tbl.punched_date,101) as Punched_date, (select convert(varchar(8),itbl.PUNCHED_TIME, 114)+', ' from Trn_Capture_Data_New itbl where itbl.EMP_CODE=tbl.emp_code and itbl.PUNCHED_DATE=tbl.punched_date and itbl.EMP_CODE='4' and tbl.punched_date >= '03/27/2013' and tbl.punched_date <= '03/28/2013' for xml path('')) Punched_Time
Now i need to Bind it to gridview, the gridview columns should be
Date,IN,OUT,IN,OUT
In punched time the first one should be IN and second OUT. A employee would have punched several time a day. Based on that I should take maximum punches and bring that of columns as IN and OUT in gridvew dynamically. How to achieve this?
So I have a RadPanelBar, and within that a RadTreeView. On a node click event I want so update some control.. for now I am just trying to update a textbox. It works fine except that the first time I click on a child node it takes a very long time to update the control.. Just a simple text change. I set a break point in my function and I noticed that it is taking long to fire the OnNodeClick event.. If I click a parent node in the tree view it loads fine on the first click. Also, after the first time I've clicked it.. it loads quickly.. If I refresh the page, it is slow on the first click again.. Is there something I am missing.. Is the structure of my HTML inappropriate for these AJAX calls? I feel like this is a really simple example that should work..
EDIT: I updated my code according to this article, [URL] , and the problem persisted... again it only happens the first time..
EDIT: Just to clarify, by updating according to that article, I mean that I removed all the tables and relative widths and replaced them with css positioning and fixed widths.. the problem only happens the first time.. and it only happens sometimes.. quite a few times i thought i solved the problem as it would start responding quickly.. but then after I change my .aspx and change it back (even to the exact same thing when it was working quickly).. I get the same problem..
EDIT: So, I removed the AJAX component.. and setup the control so that it does a PostBack.. and it still takes long to hit my break point.. so it seems that its not an AJAX issue... but for some reason my events are taking long to fire..
EDIT: So I followed the advice on this post and I used the webservices to do my binding and handle everything from the client side code.. All seemed to be ok until I decided that I wanted to return nodes from my webservice that could also be expanded.. So in my webservice I set the ExpandMode of my RadTreeNodeData object to Webservice.. and it renders the data correctly when I expand the child nodes.. However now I see the same problem from before where some calls take 20-30 seconds.. It takes 20-30 seconds to even hit the break point in my webservice.. Should I use the OnClientNodeExpand event instead?
in my application i need to generate/open a popup window automatically at some interval of time, when the user is working at some page in the application, like a alert message
the popup window contains some information which should take from the database,
and the information should be updated automatically when the popup window opens,
I have a date/time stored in a smalldatetime field (ms sql 2005) that i want to compare with the current time and receive a difference. If the difference is less than 30 minutes, do this....if more do that....

I have a series of collapsible panel extenders on my page and each time the page opens or postsback the panels open for a time and then close. Is there a way to prevent this?
