JQuery :: Datepicker Not Popping Up In Gridview Edit Template Textbox?

I have a gridview that I can't for the life of me get the datepicker calender to pop up for. I've been using the datepicker for months very successfully for a variety of textboxes on the page and inside of formviews but this is the first time I've tried using with gridview. I didn't expect any issues however can't seem to find anything to work. I have searched the forums for 2 days and attempted any suggestions found within the solutions to no avail. I've tried using the CSS to link the datepicker but everything stopped working when I changed the code and my page which uses a css style already got all distorted looking.Here is my gridview (only included a part b/c it is large and am only having problem with the datepicker for the date completed text box)

Here are my scripts at the bottom of my page...the problem one is the "txtActual_date_completed". Please note that I am using 2 other datepickers on this page in fiter criteria for my gridview and they are working just fine.
I have read a lot of post and seen some solutions to this; however, nothing seems to work for me. I have a gridview inside an update panel and when the user clicks on the edit link the row goes into edit mode. when the user clicks into the text box specified for the date nothing happens. here is what my JS looks like and the gridview row i am working with. i have tried the CSS selector and the ID selector with no luck......I also have a date picker working great on my page, but it is not inside a gridview or an update panel....
in the code below, the string sFoodFormReceived1 always gets today's date. I dont know how to make the date clicked on the datepicker bind to the textbox in the gridview gvReservationsWithForms.

Now issue is that when i click on edit link of grid Template of grid will change to edit template but tab automatically goes to first tab. I'm trying to use a calendar control to populate a textbox in a gridview cell in edit mode.

I added runat="server" to the <a> and now I am not getting an error, but when a date is selected in the calendar control is it not being inserted int the txtGvEditTeDate textbox.
i have a simple asp.net textbox. can someone provide me with an example so that when the user clicks inside the textbox, a jquery datepicker popsout? also, i need it so that when the user clicks a date in the datepicker, the textbox is populated with this date.
I am using the jQuery Datepicker without any problem for TextBox controls that are non-templated. However, I am unable to get the datepicker to work with a TextBox that is in an EditItemTemplate of a ListView control. My latest attempt is to get a handle on this textbox by CSS class name "DateControl"?

I have a textbox that uses TextboxWaterMarkExtender and jquery-ui's datepicker plugin.Upon postback, my textbox is losing the value selected from jquery datepicker.Below is the sample code to see the behavior. Is there anyway I can make my textbox to retain selected value on postback?One thing to note is, if I use jquery watermark plugin, it does postback the value. But for certain reasons, I think I plan to use AjaxControlToolkit.

I've been stymied for a few days on and interface issue with Autocompleteextender and a simple textbox. Is the user types in the textbox while the scroll position of the page is near the top, the autocomplete pops under the textbox, just like it should.However, when I scroll down a little, the autocomplete pops over top of the textbox, making it impossible to see what you are typing. How do I force the autocomplete to pop under the textbox no matter the scroll position of the page? My code is below:
What I'm trying to achieve is a page with the jQuery date picker on screen full time, and a gridView that shows events FROM the date set using the datePicker. I've kind of got it working,Currently, the default date is set in the JS code, but I'd like to set it to the textbox control that updates when a new date is selected. I've added a default value to the text box and would like to use this to have better control over changing it later.Before the GridView updates, I need to click the button to cause a refresh. Ideally, I'd like the page to refresh once a new date has been selected.Here is my code so far:
As you can see, the above checks to see if a task has an id > 0 (we're not creating a new one) if it does, it uses the date on the task, if not it defaults to today. I would expect the datepicker UI element to show up, but instead I get:

It is probably a very simple mistake, so don't over-analyze. As I said, this is the first time I've dealt with MVC or JQuery so I'm lost as to where to start.
I am having a gridview control and in the edit template of the gridview control., inside the edit template I need another grid view control., I am having a bound field in the second gridview which always binds to the selected value in the gridview 1 .,
So can somebody tell me in which event and all i have to do the databind for the gridview 2. I am having an sqldatasource for the gridview2.
I have 3 edit template fields in the gridview with 1st and 3rd as a textbox and second one is a dropdownlist. The second one gets it's data from another table. I'm trying to get the values in the 2nd one and I'm unable to do it.
My Gridview is refreshing its datasource when the edit button is clicked. How can I prevent this from happening? This isn't much of a problem when there aren't a lot of records, but when there are many it takes awhile. The data is already loaded so the edit button shouldn't need to reload the data. The edit button is a template edit button, and I'm using an SQL Datasource that connects to an Oracle database. The SQL datasource uses a control parameter that points to a dropdownlist.
I've got this gridview. The gridview uses TemplateFields as the number of fields in the database's table. What I do next is use an ItemTemplate to present the correct column info.
Now, problems rise when the user click's Edit. Since I can only use EditItemTemplate to edit I am resulted with a control in each column. What I really want is to have a single row with no columns so I can easily style the edit mode (having a table with a different layout for example).

I have a gridview that I want to show a dropdownlist (for, let's say, column1) when it has a certain value, and I want to change that same column into a label when it has a certain value. Is this possible with gridview? if so, how?
