Fields: Key_Guid Drescription Count

I want to insert records form table 1 into table 2 but using the count field to duplicate the Key_guid record the new table.

View 3 RepliesI have a insert into statement thats inserting my numbers from a numeric text box on my aspx page. I am choosing the Amount Type then putting in a a number.
So i have a drop down that i select example Direct Charge then i enter 600.00 and click add it puts that in to the databse for me woot..
I then put in say Misc Credit and enter 200.00 it inserts in that into the database woot.
The look up table that has my amount types has a field called numeric opperator which is either + or - the Credit being a - and the Charge being a + then my stored procedure takes all my + numbers and adds them up and subtracts all the - numbers.
I want to change that so that it actuall be inserted into the table as a - number form the start. So I want choose Misc Credit enter 200.00 and click add then my event says o yea thats a credit insert 200.00 as -200.00
How can I do that?

I have 3 tables. I need to insert data from 2 tables into the 3rd table.
The first table has 2 fields -- c_id, c_key
The second table has -- t_id, u_id, partial_c_key
I need to insert c_id, u_id in the 3rd table.
Problem is partial_c_key in the second table contains only a part of the c_key in the first table.
Ex:
First table:
c_id--c_key
1--200A
2--200B
3--200C
4--301A
Second Table:
t_id -- u_id -- partial_c_key
1--23--200
2--36--301
In the data above partial_c_key 200 has 3 c_ids in the first table (1,2,3 with values 200A, 200B, 200C) and 301 has just 1 which is 301A.
In the 3rd table I need to insert c_id, u_id so the data should be
u_id -- c_id
23 -- 1
23 -- 2
23 -- 3
36 -- 4
How do I write a query to accomplish that?
As I know, we can use INSERT INTO (....) SELECT FROM command to select data from one table and can insert into another table.
Now I need instead of 1 table, I want to select data from one table and Insert into another 2 tables.
Shall I write another INSERT INTO (..) SELECT FROM command or is there any other way?

I am using DataAdapter.FillSchema to create shema of tables in DataSet. I created DataRelation on columns
T1id in both tables.
Now when i try to Update Sql Database T1id in Table2 remains 0 and not the value of T1id in Table1.
I can successfully update Sql Database if i fill DataSet with records first (Using DataAdapter.Fill), but that's not what i want to do. I don't need "old" records in my dataset. I want to use dataset just to store all imputs from user until the proccess is done and then insert all those records "at the same time".

If I take an integer index, and the user want to insert an object between the 3rd and the 4th object, it is not possible, because 3.5 is no integer-value. An index of real could be the solution. Probably a litte complicated, as soon as a new object needs to be inserted between 3.45 and 3.89 (example).
If you know an easier approach for inserting records at any position by having the ability to sort by the initially choosen order (index?)

I just discovered that the data type of the Data Table fields is Double, not Float as I expected. As such, when I store a value like 0.157 it ends up getting stored like this: 0.15700000524520874
I'm aware that such extra "noise" occurs when such a conversion occurs. My major question has to do with why .Net didn't set the Data Type to Float (ie. Single) when the table was first populated?

I have two tables for storing language translations - tblEN and tblES. They have the same structure which is nvcEnglish and nvcLocal - both nVarChar fields.
In nvcLocal of the Spanish table, I enter the Spanish translations of words and phrases used within my app. Problem is, when I add a bunch of new records to the English table I also have to go in and repeat the data entry into the Spanish table. I am wondering if there is a way to import the newly added records into the Spanish table using Transact SQL?The plain language query would be something like:

i am using an ImageButton with onClick Event above a profile on a footballer.
On Click event, a logged in user on the site can save the footballer to a Junction table called FavouriteFootballer that has
a GUID UserId and FootballerId GUID as Primary Keys.
The problems is I need to warn the user if they already have the Footballer Stored as a favourite in the database

I have a data table called Songs It has SongId as Primary Key of type INT SongName of Type VarChar UserId of Type Int. I simply want to check how many entries are in the Table already by The UserId before they insert more. So If there are already 3 songs by that User, I want to stop the insert process and warn them they have the maxium already. I think i am halfway there already using code below but problem is that UserId is of Type GUID, and not Int so I am missing something. On my Aspx, Page, I have a DetailsView for the Database Insert.
