I want to enable newly registered users on a site. I have figured out to put "DisableCreatedUser="True"" on the CreateUserWizard. What I have no idea about is how to have an email sent to the administrators email to notify them that a new user has registered.

I found a tutorial on how to setup a user will be emailed an activation link when registering [URL]. What I want is modify it so that the email is sent to the administrators for activation.
View 9 RepliesI'm having trouble setting up a custom NEW User Screen. Here is my situation, I have a Request for Access Screen that uses the CreateNewUser Wizard Control. I want to leave the Question and Answer for this, however I also want a custom NEW User Setup which I build myself to allow the system administrators to setup users, but for this setup I don't want the administrators to have to pick the question and answer for the NEW user, so I would like to bypass this for this setup. However, my Membership.CreateUser keeps asking for it. How can I accomplish this? I've included a copy of my current web.config file. You will notice a AspNetAdminMemberhip which I use to allow the System Administrators to reset passwords.

i am creating a c# website with three roles
admin, students & professors
i want to add users to student role every time people register on my site..
then admin will control the users but how to add users to a Student role at register button's click event?
Since I need user click a link from his/her email once they registered, currently after user registered, and click the "Continue" button (CreateUserWizard1_ContinueButtonClick) or CreateUserWizard1_UserCreatedSuccess, it will be authenticated, how do I prevent this until they click the active link from their email?
View 1 RepliesI would like to know what is the best way to do a notification in asp.net.For example I have a form in which the user will provide some data. He then click the save button which call the save methode in my code behind.
In the save method I need to query the database to know if another related object exist. If not I need to notify the user that he will have to create the related object. This does not prevent the user from saving the parent object.
So I would like to do a modal popup telling the user : Hey after Im done saving your change, you will have to open another form and create the child object.So should I create another NotificationWebform where the user will be redirect after the sava to notify him. It seems to be a "lot" of effort for a little notification. The best thing for me would be something like an alert in javascript.
What is the best way to show a message to user after session is expired? By then, the user should be logged out and redirected to start page. I can use javascript to redirect user to start page. I just want to show a message on start page.

I want to append "AD" to the beginning of user names when they complete the CreateUserWizard. I thought I could do it through the "oncreatinguser" event, but it won't add the "AD". Can someone help out with this:

How do I add these fields into my registration page. I have heard of something called profile. However, I'd like to implement custom registration and login. I mean my own registration and login forms and my own database. I've researched before posting this topic, but found nothing useful teaching me how to implement those functions. Can you guys tell me the way to implement them using LINQ and VB? OR can you give me the URL of the tutorial teaches exactly what I want?
