Security :: Creating A New User Register Form Manually Without CreateUserWizard Control?

i have following issue: I am creating a new user register form manually without CreateUserWizard control, and all works perfectly unitil I intentionaly (for test purposes) enter existing username (for example BLABLABLA) into username.textbox. After that i get my error message as expected that says "username BLABLABLA allready exist", now when I tray (as a future user who could be in the same situation) to correct the username and enter another one (for example TRATRATRA), it still gives me this error "username BLABLABLA allready exist!" This is the second day that I'm traying to solve this!

CreateUserWizard is creating dupicate user while assigning Role.How can we assign Role without duplicating user record? I've observed ApplicationID for assigning Role is Differenent than Creating New User, so when ever Role assigning comes in, it creates same user again with new UserID. Is it related to Web.Config in some way? As when I try to create user from "VisualStudio/Website/ASP.net Configuration"

I want to create a user registration form, I used the CreateUserWizard control, and i intend to add more filed with the wizard interface, the fields were firstname,lastname, telephone all these with the textBox control and sex-male or female with a radioButton control, and upload photo with the FileUpload control.
After a successfull submit to the sql database, i should be able to retrieve all this informtion inluding the photo uploaded in another aspx page using any of the data control in y toolbox and resizein the photo to be 100/100 pixel size. pls could you write out the code (step by step details) to follow to implement all this in my asp.net 3.5 c# website. I have already created a table in my database, using userId as my ForeignKey.

I wanted to maintain the great features of ASP security control but i couldn't find a way to fit my purposes. I wanted to add in multiple user in one shot instead of one by one, So far using CreateUserWizard control only allow admin to add user once at a time. Is there a way to add in multiple user with a uploaded name list ?

Basically I have a CreateUserWizard control in my update panel. It will create the user and hit the complete step. How can I get the CreateUserWizard Control to restart without causing a post-back? I've tried setting the continuationurl to the same page, but that causes a post back. I've tried not using a continuationurl and the continue button does not do anything.
EDIT:I've altered the continue_button control even to set the index back to the first step, but then a previous button appears and all the data is retained in the text fields. I can obviously remove the text in the same event, but I don't know what to do with the previous button

I simply want to know how to manually check if the value a user has provided for the answer to their security question matches their current answer on record. I want to use the build in support of the membership and membershipuser objects.
I see that via the passwordrecovery control that the actual answer can be returned. However I am currently not using this control and it would take a good bit to integrate it as it does not meet our user's requirements.
In a worst case scenario, getting the actual answer (like the passwordrecovery control does) and manually checking it in our application would be acceptable.
A best case scenario is some sort of API where I can pass in the user name and the answer to their security question that was provided and simply get an indication of whether answer was correct or not.

Is there some reason that when I create a register page using the CreateUserWizard that I can't click the textboxes and enter information into them? I have to tab my way to them in order to get the focus in them.

I'm using VS 2010 and have a default Register User page. I want to add a few more fields to the default user name, passwor, email.These fields need to be saved to a different table than the apsnet_Users table. I figured I could do this in the CreatedUser event but don't know how to access the text box controls I added - for example First name, last name and so on.

I would like to know how I can verify a user's credential against an existing asp.net membership database. The short story is that we want provide single sign on access.
So what I've done is to connect directly to the membership database and tried to run a sql query against the aspnet_Membership table:

I'm using emails as the user name, and I've got requiresUniqueEmail="true" in the web.config.
I have an empty CreatingUser method, and in CreatedUser I perform a couple of table entries with the new user.
When I try to add a user with an email that's already in use, I get a the default success message. But no user is added, and
it doesn't reach the CreatedUser method.

I have a working registration page and I'm adding CAPTCHA. The CAPTCHA works and I have a simple if/else loop to do what happens if the CAPTCHA input was correct or incorrect.

I have tried to use CreateUserWizard control inside Formview to avoid manual coding. CreateUserWizard control is a member of InsertItemTemplate of FormView control, I have bounded all the input controls inside CreateUserWizard to database fields but when I click on create user button I get following exception
SQLBindParameter not used for all parameters
after getting through some links I got to know that this may be beacause of mismatch between no of ? marks with specified insert paramters.

I want to disable StepNextButton after it's clicked (to avoid multiclicking).
