I have a combo box inside a dataform. I have used some hard coded value for combobox. Now I want to bind combobox selected value to dataform properties so that I can save the selected combo box value in database. But I am unable to do so, What should I do? Beow is the code :
I have a problem with the combox its only displaying the first item in the list its being populated by a webserice call the drop down in question is comboboxmodel now the manufacture one is fine and sets as it should any reason as to why the comboboxmodel would not.

I have installed AJAX Control Toolkit and the toobox have a long list of Ajax control I can drag and drop.However, I want to use Combobox control but this control is not there. Where do I get it ?
I'm try to add a combobox to my form which i have done and populate it with the infomation i need but i want to stop the user from being able to edit the first 5 character in the textbox part of the combo box( 1 is this possible 2 am i going about it in the right way).
I have 3 columns fro a db to enter ips ie 123.456.7.89 at the start if each number i want (SE1)(SE2)(SE3) which i can do at the momment . So I get in the combobox list 3 items with (SE1)123.456.7.89 OR just (SE1) depending of i a result is returned from the DB. However i don't want the user to be able to edit out the (SE?) part of the sting in the textbox. When editing i've tried used the text change event to try and capture the change and make sure the string.length > 5 , but the event does not fire also when i leave the combobox it it adds to the combox list. If I refersh it goes back to how it should be with only the 3 items.
I have connected listview by using datasourceid that means by using "sqldatasource1" now i want to change value of listview at run time according to search so for that i am using datasource at codebehind. but it give an errorÂ
"listview have already bind with datasourceid you can not bind it with datasource"

Where SiteMenu is an Asp:menu control. But for some reason I'm getting a menu with one element with name "siteMap" and a child element with name "siteMapNode".
I would like to have only one element (rappresented by the <SiteMapNode> xml tag ) with title "default". what I'm doing wrong?

MCA is a parent class and under MCA there are Terms and under Terms there are Subjects and under Subjects there are Topics according to Topics wise. My requirement is when i Clicked on the MCA it will show Terms and after clicked on any Terms it display Subjects and after clicked on the Subject it display Topics and after clicked on topic it must display contents according to topic-wise.

Basically I was wondering if there is a method of binding a datasource to a contentplaceholder, I want to display data within a contentplaceholder from a database, however as I can't insert a control into a contentplaceholder, I have nothing to bind/display the data. The information within the database includes html for presentation, therefore I just need to get it out. Also the master page will only be supplying one page with data, so doing this within the master page would also be a solution.

In vsw2005/ASP.Net 2 i have a formview used for project management; i recently added a new set of dates and a dropdownlist for the contact name. It is essentially a duplicate of another set of dates and contact. Both dropdownlists use the same sqldatasource, but the new one is throwing an error when the form changes to edit mode:
"'ddlInstall2Engineer' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value"
The error occurs even though I have a static listitem with appenddatabounditems set to true. Here is the markup for both ddl and sqldatasource (as you can see, other than id and name of field being bound to, they are identical):

I need to bind that xml to TreeView Control, and since I can't bind use sqldatasource as a datasource for the treeview and i cant use the XmlDataSource to read from the database...
