I want to create a menu in a application i am building. I have 3 user roles defined in the database with menu items, navigation url and menu nesting level. I want to generate a menu based on what user logs in. I have the fetch the data from table based on user role. I am having problem in designing and binding the menu(dynamic).

The problem is when the admin users access the pages, they still have access to supervisorprogram.aspx. Vice versa for the supervisor users.

I have created the form and this lets the user add only a single quote at a time, what I would like to do is give the user a drop down box to let him/her choose to add up to 5 quotes at a time. There are various area's of this application that are only to be used by an admin users whom login using their email and password and the rest of the users log in using their telephone number and password via their iPhone.
For simplicities sake, I would like to have two different login pages, one that is formatted for the iPhone and performs the correct validation for users adding a telephone number and the other for the application administrators.

I want to create a new line in a table when the user clicks on the button. the values for this new line will come from the Values (not visible content) of the drop box, the content of the text feild, the user ID that I should get from the connection and the current date... ie, I want do do a INSERT INTO table (userid, dropdown, text, date) values (how do I get the user ID from the session?, how do I get the value from the drop down?, how do I get the text from the text box?, how do I get the current date?)

When I open my project in browser, it shows all the 16 options even i logged in with Administrator or Purchaser or Seller or Accountant etc.

I have a simple intranet site. It has a role based authorization in the web.config file.
Any user's in a specific role called as "Apr-Sales-Writers" will be authorized to use those pages. If not, they will not be authorized. So far so good. Works fine. But we added additional functionality where a new active directory group (means new role) has to be added and user's belonging to this new AD group should be given access to only specific .aspx pages on the intranet site. I am using a web.sitemap and it looks like this.
If the user's belong to say AD group "Apr-Sales-Writers", they should access only default.aspx and salesData.aspx pages. User's belonging to new AD group (which I did not include in the web.config file below), should have access to other .aspx pages.

Does anyone know how to disable a create user button in the Create User Wizard if the Terms and Conditions checkbox is not checked?
I have a CUW with additional fields (the data of which is stored in an additional table that I have added to the ordinaty SQL membership database) and I want the user to check the Terms and Conditions checkbox before the user is created.
By any chance, do you also know how to prevent the creation of the user if the additional fields have not been filled?
I triend with Java, code behind and many method but it still dont work: the user is created even if the Terms and Conditions are not checked.
Newer to ASP (not VB). Running VS 2010 Ult. Basically I just need pointed in the right direction for what I am trying to accomplish. I am trying to setup a site where a user can create an account, log in and have access to only their "home page". On that home page I want them to be able to have access to their data and their data only. I have created the web site and the login, create user, change password, ect. pages using the built in controls, problem is that about the extent of my ASP'ing.
I would just like pointed in the right direction to be able to code this. Not asking for someone else to do it for me, I want to learn this on my own. I just need pointed somewhere to get me started with member pages and what not.PS - This is what I am looking to doCreate account -> Automatically create user folder and home page within -> Restrict access to only the new user and the admin
have gone through the N2 CMS documentation at length and can see no obvious set of steps to accomplish this.The task is to create a new Web Forms CMS app based on N2. Basically to take the Stripes theme and customize it.I originally downloaded the full source code and got it working on my development machine with SQL Server. After this I made various attempts at copying the files necessary to run the application into the new Web Forms folder in wwwroot. I got a lot of the same runtime errors that I see others getting, relating to missing DLLs, browser control adapters, and the like.
My current approach, per the "howto_install.txt", is to use the Publish function to move the required files to my wwwroot folder. This is really not desirable if I want to work on CMS sites for three different clients - think about it. Either way, when I bring up the new site in the wwwroot folder now, the home page link on the home page, all image links, and all admin links are now broken (this happened after moving site to IIS7). The install document mentions copying the "N2 management files" to the new folder - can anyone explain what is meant by this?Can anyone assist in outlining the basic steps in getting a new Web Forms N2 site working with full functionality in the wwwroot folder?
