I have upgraded web application from VS.2008 to vs 2010. I was using previously ReportViewer 2008 control in a page and replaced with 2010 ReportViewer Control.
I have installed the ReportViewer Redistributable also in my local pc as well as in the server. Also as per the new requirement I have placed the Scriptmanager in the web page where the reportviewer control located.
While running the page, the reportviewer run the report and is not showing the data on the screen. It shows the blank screen. But If I export the data to execl or world it is showing the data. Also the page numbers in the reportviewer showing the total pages available in the navigation bar. I am sure the report is running and bringing the data to the screen but not showing it.
I am having grid view with check boxes, If user selectes multiple rows Iwould like to print all the selected rows page by page means first row in first page second row as second page how can I do this
I am exporting ASP.net filed values to Ms-Word using following code without any hurdels .I have around 70 fileds on my webform, all the fields are not filed with values some are blank.when i am taking the print out blank fields should not get printed. How can i modify following code.
I have binded crsytal report through dataset. My crystal report is working fine. but when i click on print button, data is not coming on crystal report . the following code i have written. what i am missing out? How to pass parameter when i click on print button? and how to bind data while printing?
The data binding is done manually in the code behind, which means you have to manually write the onpageindexchanging in there too. Normally that's done like so:
[Code]....
When you click to the next page on such a page, it is only blank if you have if(!Page.IsPostBack){} around your manual data binding. Well on this page with multiple gridviews I don't have that. But it's still blank when you click to the next page.
i have an Grdiview within that two table is there, one is for header another is for body section, now the horizontal line is coming on the gridview but vertical line is not coming, below is my code
I have a gridview with a select button. There are 181 records in the gridview all coming from the same database table. When I select the first 5 rows the details view comes up, but after that it doesn't show... The information that it is pulling is the same for the first 5 rows as the other 176 rows. Why won't it show the detailsview?!
when user input the valid data then there will be generate a areport and that report displays in a gridview itemtemplate. when i print the report, only first page data printed properly on a predesigned designed paper. and others are not. then how to print each rowdata of gridview on per page.
Now I want to know: Is there any difference between coming to this page using a proper link or coming back using browser back button, or is there any way to detect this?
I'm using this wdCalendar code I found to add a Google calendar like calendar to my application. It uses mostly JQuery to work. Anyways, I notice when I use a pull down menu from the master page, the content page is blocking it (see attached image).
I wanna bind atleast 30,000 records in a gridview from a sqlserver table. I want to bind only 50 records at a time with grid view. The grid has also paging and when I click next page then next 50 records should be shown and another next page's click another 50 records.
How can I optimize this thing. I want that If 30,000 records are binding then grid should be work as binded 50 records.
I have created master page in my application using site map and have some web forms. When I click a link from site map I would like to open in blank page like popup window. How can I do that ?
Let's say I have two pages on the same ASP.NET C# WebSite:
Page1.aspx does things in the Page_Load event I navigate to Page2.aspx using the menu Page2.aspx does some things then Response.Redirect back to Page1.aspx Page1.aspx cannot do things in Page_Load event this time because it never fires.
I tried to turn off cache declaratively, tried using true for endResponse in my redirect... nothing seems to make a difference.
for creating a csv but the csv that gets created is blank. My gridview gets populated so I don't think any problem with that not getting data from Access database. I also tried the code sample you have on this website and checked my code against yours.
Very new to C# although I have alot of older coding experience. Not much object orientated programming though. Anyways, I have a .net program I'm working on, basically to work on my skills although it will prove to be useful. I am keeping track of my work schedule. Currently, I am populating a datagridview from a sql 2008 express db. My columns are: date worked, hours, paid, and paidon. What I want to do is add an empty row whenever the date corresponds to a date that is "Monday". My goal is to line break every week. So that each work week (Mon-Sun) is seperated by a blank row. I would rather not actually have this blank row in the database. I would like the gridview to do this on the fly. Here is my gridview code in my default.aspx file:
Recently I had migrated my ASP.net 1.1 based application from a IIS5.1 based platform to a IIS 6.0 based Platform. The new platform has 4 nodes with a load balancer.
One of the page of my application, which is perhaps the heaviest one in terms of form components like textboxes, dropdown is not behaving properly. Some times the users only get a "Blank White Screen" and some time they get a "Invalid ViewState" , Invalid length for a Base-64 char array.
Based on the KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831150 I understand that the view state is getting truncated.
I had been facing this issue since we migrated to the new platform and the application was working perfectly fine on the old platform.
