I have a textbox with a regular expression , a add button and a cancel button.
On add button click my regular expression is working properly. On cancel button click i am clearing my textbox and i have already set 'Causes Validation= "false"' to my cancel button.
But on my cancel buton click i can see my regular expression validation message is blinking.
What should i do?
I want to use regular expression validation on textbox and pop up message on save button click in MVC2.
View 6 RepliesI have a textbox with a required field validator and two buttons .One to save and other to cancel the action. On clicking the cancel button i am clearing the text entered in textbox.
The required filed validators is working on the save button if the textbox is empty. But on my cancel button click the required field validators message is blinking .

i've tried many ways to solve the problem that my professor gave me but my knowledge isn't that enough to solve this problem..
I'm trying to use the validator to work on a email form to ensure that they enter a valid from email address. That part works. I also want to add to the expression the text that I pre-populate in the txtbox ("Enter your email address") so on postback, after sending the message, I can clear the fields and repopulate that box.
How do I add that wording to the current expression: w+([-+.']w+)*@w+([-.]w+)*.w+([-.]w+)*
I am using Regular Expression validator for a text box. The below is working fine.It is not performing validation when I enter values like 0000..001.How can I modify validation expression? But it would allow values like 100,...5000 i.e zeros after a number.

So I have a button on form that is supposed to execute some code-behind on a click event. To this button I also connected a Modal Popup Extender, which once you click OK, it goes away. What doesn't happen (and it should) is btnSendContactForm_Click never gets called.
Using the OnOkScript didn't help me either. I have tried setting the OnOkScript property of the extender, by calling a javascript that simulates the button click on the send button, but that only re-calls the modal pop extender, and a never-ending loop results everytime you click OK.

I have a gridview connected to a sql database that allows the user to delete the record. I used the ASP.net automatic "options" for this. However, I would like when the user deletes a record, a message (textbox) appears in the form to say the record has been deleted.

Before it redirects, I have to show a popup messagebox informing the clients that the data has been saved. The popup box will have a "OK" button. Only when this button is clicked, the page should be redirected to another page.
If I used Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript to register a javascript to show an alert message, it is never shown and page is redirected straightaway. Similar behavior happens when I tried to show a mesage box by creating it through a server control as described

For example, I have a scenario where the text box will be disabled but I can still enter data in to the grid and modify it, but the regular expression fires when I modify the grid and the changes in the grid are not processed.how can I stop the validation when I am working on grid. I am facing a problem for doing URL validation which should allow atlest two periods in the URL.If the URL does not contain atleast two periods then it should throw an error. Also the regular expression must obey all the URL validations.Please help GURUS it is urgent for me to get some solution.
