i need to create a html editor for use to every page to update the web page content. By right, the html editor only can seen by administrator. So , i should create a custom web part/user control to update different table of database or create a custom editor zone better? how can we do it just like the share point html editor web part?
I've got a custom class for the HTML Editor which adds specific buttons, however I can't figure out how to add specific font names and sizes to the FONTS and FONT SIZE boxes using the code below. I've figured out that simply adding the drop downs for the FONTS and FONT SIZES isn't enough. Once they're added, the specific have to be added.
YES, I have tried adding them using the FONTS and FONTSIZES properties in the HTML markup but after extensive research have determined that it can only be done via code.
I want to customize Ajax HTML Editor's insert link function so I derived a custom button from OkCancelPopupButton and related popup from OkCancelAttachedTemplatePopup, but the button texts don't appear. See picture below (CĂm: URL, MegjelenĹ‘ szöveg: Display text).
I am building an asp.net site in which I need to have editor text boxes in different forms. I am planning to buy cute editor license but just want to check whether there are any alternatives available in open source.
I am trying to write a customized Ajax HTML editor control and since noone knows how to resolve the problems I am having with including my source file SimpleEditor.cs inside my asp.net web application (refer to thread: [URL] I would like to know if I can compile the custom control into a .dll file and then somehow try using that inside my project. To start with I am creating a very simple editor with very little changes. Once I get it to work then I can move forward with putting in the rest of the customization. By the way in case anyone is interested I am trying to accomplish two things with my custom editor.
1 I want to reduce the buttons to just a few basic buttons.
2. I want to add a custom button to allow the user to insert a picture.
Below is the code I have in my SimpleEditor.cs file:
I am using TinyMCE html editor in my web application with Asp.net 3.5 and C#. If I enter a path like http://video.test.com/test.flv in url attribute to add video in my page content, the leading slash gets stripped, and becomes "http:/video.test.com/test.flv".So that the move could not get loaded. On button click event the slash gets removed. Button click is necessary for me to save the page content into the database.
I'm wondering if it's possible to be able to use an HTML editor (such as TinyMCE) in an ASP.NET form without turning off validation for the entire page. There are other fields in the page that I want to use validation for. Will those not get validated with validation controls if you set ValidateRequest="false" in the page directive?
in my page i have 10 DDL and an Ajax Html Editor, each and every selectedIndexChanged event of the DDL i'lll focus the next DDL but the focus not set to the DDL, instead of that its always focused to the editor. i set tabindex but no luck.. may i know what is the issue and how to resolve this?
WYSIWYG editor when it comes to editing complex HTML pages generated from ASP.NET, PHP, GWT or anything else. I've tried a lot of WYSIWYG tools, but after a certain point I always end up with manually editing the HTML source code or CSS to fix different issues. The editors I've tried are never compatible with the ASP.NET/PHP/etc code I'm writing.Edit: I have used Visual Studio for a few years to do ASP.NET development. After a while, it always comes to the point where I can't even open the pages and user controls because they rely on so many things which aren't available in debug time.
I'm trying to update my web site with the HTMLEditor control for Blog posting. I really need to know what my web.config changes need to be too. I get this error:Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>).An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
First and foremost, i would like to explain what I'm trying to do. I want to be able to update my data using the html editor which is also used to post things. For example, I decided to post "I love apples!" using the html editor. After clicking on the post button, I decided i want to make some amendments. So I click on the edit button and the html editor appear just like before and with "I love apples!" displayed in it. So that I can edit from there. If you do not understand, feel free to clarify with me. Anyway, I am only able to retrieve the data back into the html editor using sqlReader. however, that makes the data read-only. and I cant edit it. Is there any other way to retrieve the data and at the same time allowing me to edit it?
This is the codes that i used using sqlReader and I am able to retrieve the data and display it but can't edit.
