Can anyone tell me how to create an ASP photo album page WITHOUT using a database for the photos? In other words, I just want to be able to call the photos from a folder within the site... I can't get databases to work properly on my computer so I need to do it this simpler way. Can anyone let me know of a site which shows how to do this

Ii've made a Listview showing photos from database as thumbnails in a "kind of a film strip", including a pager.What i need is that when i click on a thumbnail inside the ListView, to show the large photo in a image control outside the listview. this should work using the selectedIndexChanged event,
in asp.net i want the user to chose a photo to upload from their HD . then i want the uploaded photo displayed and an hyperlink option to save or reject this photo. if accepted the filename will be stored in a DB.
the problem is displaying the photo before it has been saved.
I display strFileName which works on my PC but not on my laptop.

an error tells me it cannot create the WebImage from the content (the content is the Byte array from the db).

I want a slideshow of album covers which are retrieved dynamically from the database. I want to display 4 album covers at a time. I want there to be a next button so the the slideshow can continue. Here is what I cant find any librarys for. When I click the next button, I dont want to show another 4 different covers, i want it to move along by 1 album cover,
So say I had covers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4
When i click next i want to display 2 , 3 , 4 , 5.
Finally, I want the show to be able to repeat so at the end it starts at one again.
So say I only had 5 covers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5
when I click next while showing 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 I want 3 , 4 , 5 , 1 displayed.

Problem is when I upload image and click on btnupload it shows image in new window with watermark text but it doesn't save it into host...
I want when I click on btnupload it doesn't show image in new window I want it just uploaded image with watermark into host...

tbl_album_images{image_id, album_id, user_id, caption, date_added}
So one table would contain information about the album and the other would be the images inside the album.firstly does this seem like a good approach?If so, i want to know what would be the best way to allow users to do this?
I'm making a phot album for my family websit I'v gotten almost every thing down except the display. I have gotten the pictures to display as thumbnails using a datalist (because I can get the layout how I want it) However I wanted to put a click button to pass the id of the photo to the other page.So this is my question is their any way to pass the id from in a datalist to another page.this is the code i'm tryin to use now

i would like to do a project that enable to capture photo from webcam, and record audio from microphone store to database. but the photo and audio store in folder and the database only store the filename. later i set the path and its play back the audio and show the photo.
View 2 RepliesI have to create the custom pages/ templates. User has to specify the fields and controls from UI and then we have to display the specified controls on an aspx page. We have mutiple users that are adding their custom fields and controls. How we can manage this data in database? Do we have to create different database for each user or we have to create different tables for each user in a single database? Also, I can go with any other option (XML, Sharepoint etc) so that all the data will be managed in a simpler form.
