Currently i have done upload image function and its saved the picture into folder in server . But if the picture has same name its unable to save the photo . How to rename the photo each time i save the photo into the server . Below is my coding .
I need to upload and save an image onto the server. I am using an XMLHttpRequest POST to send the image to the server and calling a class named imageSave.aspx.I am finding difficulty in "catching" the image from server side (imageSave.aspx) and saving it onto the server. Does anyone please have some tips as to how this is done or maybe link to a good article or something?
I'm having an image in my page displayed to clients form a folder under same apllication folder,I also have a form in the same page that accepts an image file to be uploaded. The image that is uploaded via this form should take the place of the image that's displayed in the page with the name newly givven at runtime. The new image should be uploaded in the same directory with the new name provided, which means it overwrites the previous image.
I want to upload images in to a folder in my project and save the URL in the database.
When you add a record into my database you provide title, date added and some other details and there it a file upload control which you browser to a image and it saves the image to a folder in my project, it all works, the record is added and the image is uploaded into the folder, but the problem I have is that there is no link from the record to the image, there is no URL path saved in the record. How do I save the image in the folder and save the URL of the image to the record?
I'm using details view to insert the records and using grid view to view the records.
I have a simple photo album. I have some catories in db and corresponding folders. For example, when user creates a category called "Asp Net" in db then a folder called "AspNet" is created. Then user can upload photo and all photos are displayed as thumbnail. No photo is saved in db, they are directly saved lets say AspNet folder. I just fetch filelist from intended folder and list them. However I want user to be able to update category name or delete it. To keep consistency, corresponding folder should be updated or deleted. But when I try it throws exception: Access to the path 'xxxxx" is denied.

There is a form for uploading an banner to the site, which has table of all the banners uploaded with image path and file path for downloads.
The form has 2 parts, one for the image uploading and the other for banner link updating.
The banner link updating has a dropdownlist of all the images available in the folder. The imagepath is uploaded via sql
I have changed the sql imagepath, but can find where is the code for uploading to a folder, so that i can change, also, how to change the dropdownlist to read from the new folder.
i wan code for profile image setting. user can able to resize image by selecting size in the dropbox. and image cand drag specific location,(canvas image-->image can bigger then canvas and he can drag image withini the canvas,image shoud save--withini the canvas width and height)
Rquirements
1)user upload the image and will save that image and will disply the image at left side show in the figure. 2) user can select the size of the image from dropbox. the image size will be alter depend upon the selected size. 3)user can drag the image in the specific location. i mean selecting image with mouse can drag, shoud be dragable. 4)same as profile image setting of gmail,facebook and skype.
[URL] .... I am referring to the link given mentioned above, i want to save image details into database of each file, if i select two files i want to save filename in database in each row. ist file in 1 row , second file in next row with file name.
So my problem is why is my if statement not deleting the currently held record in my database for the path of the current image? All that happens is my new image is uploaded into the same folder but the old image still remains?
Remember though I'm not trying to delete the "same" file name a simple saveas would overwrite it which is already in my code, what I need is for my code to delete any image that is currently in the userid specific folder when I'm trying to save the new image upload.
I'm having a little trouble with an upload of a file. I wanted to add today's date in the name of the file so that when a user uploads a file such as "image1.jpg" it would be saved into the server as "image120100319.jpg" and stored in the database as in a field as /myfolder/subfolder/image120100319.jpgthis script works when I comment the new additions which are

I have another problem is that I have Placed a file upload control in Empty template of Gridview to have multiple record insert. I have used viewstate to save multiple record into database. But problem is that I am able to find the control but it not giving any value.I have following code.
I had a code that creates a snapshoot of website and store the snapshoot in a specified folder.When I deployed the app into production server, it creates the image but it does not appear or stored in the specified folder, how I can fix this proble, I wan the snapshoot to be stored in the specified folder when hte app is on the production server .
