Jquery - Iterate Through JSON Object List Provided By Webservice?

I have an ASP.NET webservice method that returns a generics list (List'<'Construct>) serialized as JSON, using code such as this:

I assumed (from looking elsewhere) that accessing the JSON data through the index would provide me with access to the underlying object at that index, so that I can then work with it to access its properties.
However, when i=0 and I do var Construct = data[i]; I get the character at the i position of the data array ([), and in the next iteration I get the second character ({). So clearly I am accessing the elements of a string array rather than the JSON data object.How do I make sure that the data returned by the webservice gets into proper JSON format, so that I can iterate through the object elements within it?
I have a list of person objects which I want to send in response to a jquery' ajax request. I want to send the list into JSON format. The list is as follows -

How can I convert the "PersonList" list into JSON ?
As I iterate through a DataTable object, I need to check each of its DataRow objects against the items in a generic string List. I found a blog post using the List's Find method along with a delegate, but whereas that example has a separate class (Person), I'm attempting something like the following using an instance of the string object:

However, with this syntax I'm receiving "Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'bool'" for the if block. what I'm doing wrong and how best to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

I have been trying for two months to get this code working, and I am close, but still confused. I want the JQuery UI Autocomplete function to call an web service which returns JSON data and display that data for selection, and on selection put the selected value into a hidden field.
There are several issues:
1) The autocomplete function is not firing 2) The source: "/AutoSuggest.asmx/DOTFind?" line throws an invalid object exception 3) The service requires two parameters: (string prefixText, int count) - count tells it how many records to return. 4) I am not at all certain that this code will accept JSON data that comes back from the service
I have a webservice which retrieves data from another external service. The data is already in JSON Format. So I retrieve it and set it to the return value (type: string) of my webservice. But according to firebug the webservice then encapsulates the provided JSON-Data with a backslash, e.g. it returns:
[Code]....
instead of
[Code]....
But the JSON provided by the external service is correct. So how could I provide the correct string to jTemplate from my Webservice?
i am using combination of jquery and JSON based webservice in most of projets. Lately i am facing this problem. if the data returned from webservice is huge ajax call from jquery fails. yup i know i can implement paging etc etc but is there a way i can increase the limit to get more data from webservice with jquery ajax call?
I'm new to Jquery, JSON and MVC, and am trying to create a json object that contains AD info from an AD query. The ad query is working fine and returning data and I have 2 overloaded implementations of it.
#1 is a method from an older .net app that builds and returns a datatable that we bound to a grid view control
#2 was a modification of #1 that returns a System.Collections.Generic.List<> type. #2 returns data ok and i can display a table in the MVC view
however, I'd like to get the data results into a json object so i can bind it to a jqGrid object that has similar functionality to the old .Net server controls (Delete, Update, Sort) Here's the new method that's part of a C# static class:

I have dropdown in the aspx page. I am calling JQuery on dropdown chnage and JQuery is calling GenericHandler.ashx . The Handler is retuns Serialize JSON string. I ned to bind my Repeater control with this JOSN object. here I am giving my sample aspx page code

I am trying to build a page which consists of different user controls which is divided in 3 columns.I have created a custom class for the page and widgets where the user controls will be loaded in. The custom class needs to be stored in an XML file, and using jQuery sortable for drag-and-drop functionality.At this point, my question is what is the best implementation for loading and saving the states of the page and widgets inside the page? I was thinking about using JSON and WebMethod for that, but I am still missing out the architecture on how I should build the page

My problem is JavaScript function OnSuccessSVGElements is not firing. When I put breakpoints in it is working fine in C#. C# Method Working But Alerts in javascript not working.
I am developing a web page using vb.net as my code behind.
i want to send some data in list format to my webservice, through script. So i am using Jquery and Json.

When I am outtin "{}" in data and remove the parameters from the webmethod. then it goes to the function. But when I pass any data it does not goes to the webmethod.
This code works fine when written in C#. But does not work with vb.net as cb.
Is there any problem in passing the data. or is there any other way to pass data in vb.net.

I want to send single json object with nested arrays through jquery ajax method.

In jquery ajax i am passing LeaveRuleMaster a single json object which holds some properties (Leavetypeid, Leavename, Leavestatus and nested array LeaveRulespecific.
In vb.net code i can receive the value of properties(Leavetypeid,Leavename,Leavestatus)
but i am receiving the LeaveRuleSpecific as nothing.

I was hoping to iterate through all the li elements of the ul checking whether NavigateUrl is equal to the current url. If it is, I was going to add a CssClass to give it a different appearance.
I think I know how to compare it to the page's url and to how to add the css class. I'm just not quite sure how you iterate through li items using a HTML Generic control.
I have List (Of Report). Report has 90 properties. I dont want write them each and every propertiy to get values for properties. Is there any waht to get propeties values from the List

i m new to asp.net 3.5 linq and dnt worked much on generics.i m using IEnumerable to return set of results.i m binding this IEnumerable type method directly to datagrid source then it works fine.But i dnt knw how to iterate through this collection??Same way i m using List<String> to return columns like this
