Way To Bind A Listbox With SelectionMode=Multiple?

I have an ASP.NET webform that has a listbox (lbxRegions) with multi-select option enabled. In my db, I have a table with an xml field that holds a list of regions. I need to populate the listbox with all available regions and then "check off" the list items that match the regions in the db table. The list options also need to be ordered by region name. So, I wrote the following code that works just fine -- no problems. But I was wondering if anyone can think of a better (more succinct, more efficient) way to have done the same thing

I have a listbox with multiple selectionmode. In this list there is an itme name 'Other'. When user select this alon or with ohter itmes it show div and if it deselect it from his selection it hide the div. when user come to edit the form and if 'Other' is selected in listbox the div should be visible.

I'm trying to build a list box with MULTIPLE selections enabled
The markup is as shown below
<asp:ListBox SelectionMode="Multiple" ID="lbMYlist" runat="server" Style="width:auto;" Height="400px" Rows="5" />
The listbox is being dynamically populated using
lbMYlist.Items.Add(<string>)
The listbox is getting populated.
The problem is only one item can be selected at a time(even though selectionmode has been set to multiple) ..

trying to support my listbox control in safari/chrome as it works in ie. there are instances when i want the control to be 1 row high, but i do not want it to render like a dropdownlist. so, i set .SelectionMode = ListSelectionMode.Multiple. This works in IE...I have a 1 row high listbox that does not render like a dropdownlist. Is it possible to render the same thing in safari or chrome? currently, if i set .Rows = 1, it renders 3 high in safari/chrome. if i don't set .SelectionMode = ListSelectionMode.Multiple then i see a dropdownlist.

I am not able to find the projects related to working with excel sheets by using ClosedXML to refer. I have an excel book which contains two sheets.
In sheet 01: In column A: In B: In C:
Student name01 Student's phone number blabla
Student name02 Student's phone number blabla
Student name03 Student's phone number blabla
In sheet 02: In column A: In B: In C:
course name01 computerscience blabla
course name02 dhfsthshbstgs blabla
course name03 garsfghsefrgs blabla
now, I would like to see in two comboboxes (all the words/text presented in the column A) from two sheets, the student name and course name and then I want select any student name and course name of my choice. Afterwards, when I click on a button, my program should display the students phone number and the course name (from column B from both sheets) and related things present in the Column C D E.. of the selected things in combobox in a label or a in a textbox.
PS: I solved the following problem: I can select student name in one combobox and print the the corresponding data from the only one column B (but I worked only with one sheet). It is bit complicated for me to continue with two sheets.

I have a list box (that uses a SQlDataSource) that has a list of jobs. I have a grid view (that also uses a SQLDataSource) that has the items used in each job. I want to bind the list box value to the gridview on the client side, i.e. when the user clicks on a different job in the list view I want the grid to show the items for that job.
Also, at formload I want the gridview to show the details of the first job on the listview.

I got a form with 2 listboxes , the listboxes pass data to each other using jQuery , and i want the data on the 2nd listboxI will upload all the code including the javascript just in case , altough , if it is something totally basic you dont need to look on it because it does works , I am showing all the code just in case
Also, I want to get it using ViewDataModel , I tried getting it with string and didnt succes , nighter tried to find it in FormColletion and it wasnt even existing in the count

I have a dataTable that contains a specific column from a database. A listbox contains 100 list items in it. When page loads, I need those listbox items to be selected, whose value matches the value in the datacolumn of the datatable.
Following is the code i tried, but is not working. For some reason, it selects only the last item in the datacolumn.

I am persisting the search selection criteria of a listbox onto another page which is called AreasLb. Multiple areas can be selected, I simply want to set the listbox items that the user selected as .Selected = true
I think the below code should work, but it doesn't, with no items in the Listbox being selected.

I have two AccessDataSources each returning one row.
I want to use the data in each row to populate content on my page, so I figured I would use a [Code].... or [Code].....
However, I would not necessarily want the labels bound to a particular DataSource placed together.
For example, I might want labels from the following columns in order [Code]....

Note: No language preference (C#/VB).

New at SQL and ASP.NET C#, bear with me. I have a form to insert into mulitple tables of a sql db. The form includes two listbox's, categoryIDlistbox and subcategoryIDlistbox, both with the ability to select multiple choices. Idea is that there is one record for the user created (Table1) and then that user can have multiple categories and subcategories assign to him/her in Table2
Table1:
userID
fname
lname
etc...
Table2
userID
categoryID
subcategoryID
If I understand correctly I need to use an array to take the multiple listbox items and save them to the tables. Not sure where the array goes in my code behind page to process the listbox and loop for muliplte selections. Here's my current code behind, where do I place the listbox array?

I had used listbox control with multiple selection mode. I stored id with comma delimiter in database.
e.g.
1. List Item One.
2. List Item Two.
3. List Item Three.
4. List Item Four.
5. List Item Five.
6. List Item Six.
Suppose user select item 2, 4 & 6. So I will store it as a 2,4,6 in database. This will work fine.
Now in editing I have to shows selection-bar for item 2, item 4 & item 6. So I had typed below source.
