I have a list box that contains a collection of documents that a user has uploaded. I would like to make some sort of preview window on the page that allows the user to see the document without having to download it and open up word or reader.

Combing the web for a simple file uploader for ASP.NET with a server side save and preview capability didn't reveal anything simple, and I noticed a lot of people were struggling to get something too.I figured this example out today. It uses existing techniques and is simple. Downside is that you have to use session for the temporary store, and the Ajax AsyncFileUpload usess session too.Written in VS 2010 - I hope you find it useful. This is the basic working code - that should easily be exandable even for more demanding requirements such as Repeater controls etc.
So I'm using the Ajax Control Toolkit and it's HTML Editor. I'm wondering what is the best approach to create a complete page preview? I have multiple HTML Editor's on the page so I need to get the content of each HTML Editor and save it to a cookie or something, then have a popup with the preview page, which loads the info from the cookies into respective labels.

Can you point me to a site where someone can explain file locations dll, applications etc. I guess it was too easy with asp classic to drop a file in a folder. How does all this file management work with aspx?
the helper @grid.GetHtml() You can display the limit rows (e.g. 10) and page numbers at the bottom of the display which can be viewed by clicking on the following sample data. But the helper @ grd.GetHtml() (I figured) there are restrictions in output. For example if I want to display picture < img src =" @ id .jpg" alt = ""/> (I'm doing when working with @ foreach) to do that I need to put in the < img src = ".jpg" alt = ""/> it's not convenient. mene Is it possible to use @foreach to organize limited preview rows and displays the page number to view the data?
I have been designing a basic static webpage which allows you to open the applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MSN, Skpe, etc.... below is the code i first used which works on a allow machine...
Again this works on local machine i should do once hosted... but i dont know what i should put for the Domain at the moment im using localhost... All i want this to be is the machine on which webpage is being viewed.... I know the details of all the machines that will use this but i dont know what domain instead of localhost i should use.
