I want to display image in image control but the image is on the different server. My application is Intranet based application. My image is stored on "C:ProjectImagesimg123.jpg" and my server name is "MyServer". Can any one send me the code to display image in to the image control?

View 3 RepliesI recently purchased a new domain for the sole purpose of hosting all the static content on a separate server and delegate CPU intensive operation like thumbnail creation on a different pool. Now I would like to do some operations on images uploaded to that remote server : creating thumbnails or updating the image if we need to. Should I download the images to my server, modify them there and then upload them back to the remote server or should I try to create web-services to manipulate the images?One of my solution was to provide an interface to upload and manipulate the images in the new domain, by leaving the old domain when it comes time to work on images, but I find it kind of awkward.I would like to keep the new domain cookie free. How would that affect my ability to restrict any random user to use the web-services if I decide to go that way?

I actually have a C# winform application which load images from my computer C://images/... with the Image object and the function Fromfile.
Image.FromFile(Path);
but in my web application (ASP)

I use the attribute ImageURL.
viewPhoto.ImageURL = Path
But the problem is that it doesn't find the correct path because with this way. The path will be http://localhost:3656/C://images....
I would like to load an image directly from my server to have the correct path for both of my applications.(web ASP and winform)

This actually doesn't work because the program doesn't find any photo in this path.
I use .NET C# , I dynamically create folder to store the image I upload, ex:
strFolder = Server.MapPath("./folder/folder_"+folid+"/")
So I could create different folders according to the page unique id. I have also created a thumbnail image from the image I have upload (cropped ones).
The problem I am trying to figure out is to display these images as a slide show from these dynamically created folder (display thumbnail in the page and clicking the thumbnail need to see the full size image just like slideshow).
I was trying to see examples in jQuery but its just client side. So is there any way to load these images and display as a slide show from the directory. Should I deal with DirectoryInfo in C#? Expecting a simple one.

I'm trying to deploy a website stored on a network shared storage. My problem is that I am unable to load assemblies that reside on the remote machine.I load some assemblies by using
assembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(Uri.UnescapeDataString(new UriBuilder(satelliteExpectedLocation).Path))
where the satelliteExpectedLocation is in the form "file:\10.0.0.85 mpappinMessages.resources.dll".
I got a FormatException on this one, so I modified the path to read "file:////\10.0.0.85\tmp\app\bin\Messages.resources.dll"
Now I get a "System.IO.FileNotFoundException".I read on MSDN that the "File" scheme is to be used for resources on the local machine. But how should I get the resources on the network share?
Have a look at below link. In that page if you mouse over on any thumbnail image a div opens with that image details with larger size. But there is a point to notice usually when an image gets downloaded in the browser we see that the image loads in parts from top to bottom. In this case the whole is loaded but in blurred state and gets cleared after fully downloaded.

Given a URL to an image (and not the image itself), what's the most efficient of getting it's dimensions? I would like to change the height and width attributes in the image tag (<img>) if it is greater than 200x200. However, if it's smaller than that, then I'd like to keep the size as it is. (I'm using ASP.NET/C#)

Note: I was able to connect to both of these ftp through filezilla, via a webbrowser, and through windows command line.
I need to insert a record in table which is in remote server....I am using two connection strings for local and remote....both the servers are in same workgroup only...so am able to connect the both.The problem is am filling data of local table in on dataset1 and remote server table data in another dataset dataset2..Now whil inserting a record local an error occured like "This row already belongs to another table" after googlingI found like this like "Dataset.importrow()" instead of "dataset.add()" method...then there is no errors but the inserted record is not inserting in remote server database...

Today it suddenly stopped connecting to the remote server. note that i did not alter any configuration settings. Did my isp block Sql Server. My ISP is using ISA SERVER? The error details are:

I have configure the SQL server 2005 on the server to allow remote connections. Enabled TCP/IP and named pipeline. The port is 1433.
