I have a specific control gridview , i apply specific CSS file on it , i wanna to change this CSS under specific condition in my .cs file, is there away to do that?
for example :
<ItemStyle CssClass ="normal"/>
i want to change this in .cs under specific condition.
When I update a js file in my asp.net project, I refresh the browser and the change shows up as expected. If I change a css file or an .aspx file, the change does not show in the browser. Not when I clear the browser's cache, not when I restart IIS (iisrestart). What could this possibly be?
PS. I have tried chrome and firefox

at the final outcome, i will only want to have html files and one aspx file for the admin's editing use.

View 6 RepliesI have a page currently setup to upload 1 image at a time, it uploaded the image, then creates a thumbnail for that image in the same directory. Client needs / wants to be able to upload a few more images at the same time. So i would like to see if i can use the existing code that works, but setup to upload a few more images and process them all to create the thumbnails.
I currently have a page that allows them to upload 5 images at a time and that works fine, but its just simple uploading the images, nothing else is happening at that moment.

I've just upgraded a site from ASP to ASP.net and I'm looking for instruction on how best to handle the redirects. The domain isn't changing but I need to handle the change in file extensions (.asp to .aspx) as well as changing the underscores in the file names to hyphens.
From what I've found so far, creating a rule in the web.config is probably going to be the most convenient approach as this site is in a shared hosting environment, but I'm just not sure of the syntax to use.

Ok, here is the problem:I drag and drop my database table into dbml, so i have new table diagram on dbml.For example, I have User table which has two columns(ID, NAME)Then something.design.cs automatically generates User class and definitions for ID, and NAME.

then i added new column in database table named "Password" if i delete old diagram in dbml and drag new table, it re-writes whole something.designer.cs file, so i lose all codes i wrote before.I googled it and people say about Partial class, but i dont know how to use partial class.

I have a CMS that allows an administrator to add/create pages for his website.
When a page is created a SiteMapNode is added to the web.sitemap file with the an url , title and resourceKey.
Now I wish to add a resourcekey to the appropriate web.sitemap.resx file(located in App_GlobalResources).
I have tried many different ways :
- using XMLDocument load/save => says I don't have access to write to that resource file
- ResourceReader says the source stream is not valid.
I am thinking that it would be better to use multipe CSS files and change them within the master page dynamically than it would be to use multiple master pages (basically one master page for each page, which defeats the purpose of the master page).
However, I do not know how to make a change to the master page before a standard apsx page that is derived from it is loaded.
