.net - Disable Right Click In File Explorer Telerik?
Aug 30, 2010
Greetings everyone, i just wanna ask.. how do i disable the right click property in a telerik file explorer... what i want to achieve particularly is to restrict the user from deleting a file or folder.. i managed to hide the delete in toolbar but not in the right click..Below is the code i did for hiding the toolbar items.. but disabling the items in the right click.. that's my problem..
Private Sub HideToolBarButtons()
' Hides toolbar buttons
Me.FileExplorer1.ToolBar.Items.FindItemByValue("NewFolder").Visible = False
Me.FileExplorer1.ToolBar.Items.FindItemByValue("Delete").Visible = False
Me.FileExplorer1.ToolBar.Items.FindItemByValue("Upload").Visible = False
End Sub
Protected Overrides Sub OnLoadComplete(ByVal e As EventArgs)
MyBase.OnLoadComplete(e)
HideToolBarButtons()
End Sub
Currently i am using Telerik grid which filters are applied to each column. I am binding the SQL result set to grid. If the result set is empty from the database while binding, I should disable the filter option in the grid.
How can i achive the same through ASPX or Code behind using C#. Does Telerik Grid have any property to disable the filtering option when thre are no records.

For telerik DateTimePicker, I need you to disable a collection of certain dates, so user cannot select them? Is there any client/server side events that can do this?
I have a shopping basket on my site, and when the customer gets to the final page I don't won't them to be able to go back i.e. use the back button on the explorer. I have seen it before on other web sites, it's like when you leave the page it 'times out'I am just not sure how that works.
I have developed some aspx pages using visual studio 2008. I am authenticating using Active Directory services. I have kept a link button on my aspx page which says signout .What exactly i want to do is that i want the back button of my login page to be disabled so that when i press signout and when my login page loads users cant go back and thus forced to enter the login details. I am using c# as development language.
My problem occurs when the user presses the enter key when the input field is in focus. When he presses the enter key the browser automatically fires by default the next button. In my case it is the delete operation.
The problem is that, if a user haven't selected anything, the whole tabcontainer must be disabled. If I disable the tabcontainer it in de codebind, the tabcontainer grayed out but the user can click the tabs.
I can disable one tab in javascript but how can I disable the whole tabcontainer?
I'm offering a course and exam online. In the course I want to disable the save as. (When the user clicks save as it should save a blank page). I did it for printing as follows:
Code: <style type="text/css" media="print"> BODY {display:none;visibility:hidden;} </style>
I searched online and couldn't come up with anything. E/o just talks about how bad it is to do that. I know it's not secure and there are many ways to get around it, but for the average user it'll be good.
The editor's using Default skin..when I made changes to Editor.Default.CSS file...they didn't reflect on my page..but when I type the following I can see the changes:-
Do I HAVE to create a custom Skin file for the changes to reflect ??I dont wanna coz the editor has been used in many files and now linking new custom CSS file in each and every aspx file will be such a pain.. I just want this to be added in the Skin:-
body { background-image:none; background-color:White; }
What this does is that it makes the background color of the content area white..earlier the content area of the Editor was inheriting background-image property of the Master Page's body tag...ohh and another funny issue is that the Font styles too are inheriting Master Page's properties only..like Heading 2 in the Editor's drop down list has got a background color when I want it to be simple..
So is making custom skin css file the only solution ..How do I get the changes to reflect thru the Default css file only ? I dont wanna create custom class..why didn't the changes reflect ?
Weird Sunday morning question: I routinely drag files into my projects from Windows Explorer. But I just created a new project and I get the slashed circle every time I try to drag in a file from Windows Explorer. I closed the project and opened another one just to confirm that I wasn't having a foggy Sunday morning problem but I _am_ able to drag files into the this other project. Trying to drag the same file into my new project won't work. What's up with this?!
This works for Firefox and Chrome but I'm just presented with a blank screen in Internet Explorer. Why? (I've tried setting the "Content-Disposition" header. If I set it to "attachment" I am presented with the download dialog. If I set it to "inline", I just get a blank page like before. I want the wav file to play inline like here: [URL]
well actually i dont know really if this is MVC or not but I run this on MVC so i would run it here.I got a HUGE .js file , which run smoothly on Firefox , but internet explorer read like half of him (he makes some actions , some not)
also he doenst run alert("bla"); when i put it on him.other then that, when i copy and past the code to the head of the asp.net mvc view , it runs smoothly
here is my import from the head <script src="Scripts/AppScripts/TestsAdministrator.js" type="text/javascript"></script> (also tried to do this with resolveURL);
and here is the function which some part of it doenst work (i wont type all the code unless you really want)
//Ajax - Drop down list event $("#TestList").change(function () { [code]....

In our ASP.NET web site we have developed an aspx page that allows the user to download a file. The file path is sent as a parameter and then the file contents are read and written to the response stream. The code that we have used is the following:
Everything works as expected in our development environment, but when we use this piece of code in our production server, we noticed that when trying to download almost all kind of files, nothing happens in the browser. It just opens a new window for that aspx page, but then it gets closed almost inmediately. It is very weird since we have tried downloading .pdf, .doc, .xls, .txt and image files with no luck, except with some (not all) .msg files.
We have being looking for a clue sniffing the HTTP traffic that reach to the browser with Fiddler, but we have seen nothing strange. In all cases the file contents are sent to the browser with no differences, so it seems that it is the browser doesn´t show the open/save/cancel dialog. Here is a sample of the headers received in the browser with a failing file:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Length: 421395 Via: 1.1 IBISA01 Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2011 12:02:54 GMT Content-Type: application/octet-stream Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Cache-Control: private Content-Disposition: attachment;filename=P08-0656 Interflex Especificación Inteface SGA ERP Version 0.1.pdf X-AspNet-Version: 4.0.30319 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
And these are the headers of a file that can be downloaded:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Length: 290816 Via: 1.1 IBISA01 Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2011 12:03:29 GMT Content-Type: application/octet-stream Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Cache-Control: private Content-Disposition: attachment;filename=Acalaracion final Fichero ascii proveedores Interflex.msg X-AspNet-Version: 4.0.30319 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
In all cases, the full contents of the file appear after the headers with apparently no problems related to encoding. We are wondering if there is some possibility to debug or trace the Internet Explorer activity to see why is rejecting to download the files. The web server has Windows Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5. The browsers that we are using are IE 8.0 over Windows 7.
I have sql database db1..I am using this db1 for my web application...I had taken a back up for this file db1.bak......I want to restore this .bak file to a machine where no sql server is installed..Visual studio is working with solution explorer,where we can create tables,sp's etc...can I able to restore the .bak file to solution explorer?
i have a few calls however when i type in the URI into the address bar in internet explorer it prompts me to save the file. However google chrome displays it automatically in the browser page. Does anyone know why this would occur, here is an example of one of my calls;
I'm using NumericUpDownExtender inside updatepanel which is inside repeater displays comments on article. I use NumericUpDownExtender as thumbs up/down and I need to disable it after first click so that no one can rate the comment more than once.
I m uploading a file and reading it. The problem is I dont want to save that file in a folder which is in my solution explorer. I want to save it in a different Drive. I m saving the file in a different drive using web.cofig <add key="UploadFileLocation" value="C:\VOL0\Upload\"/> and I m saving using code FileUpload1.PostedFile.SaveAs(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["UploadFileLocation"] + SaveLocation); all goes fine, but I m reading the file and it is throwing an exception when I m trying to read file.
I have this below piece of code which fires on second time but not first time for me. I am using it as a login button checking for Username n password validations.
