I need track Users activities in my Cms Admin section (protected by password).
I would like to know:
If is possible add GA (Google Anlytic) code and use it even if the pages where the code is placed are covered by password.
If such use can create secrity vulnerability of any kind. (If is good or bad practice).
How to retrieve easily the statistics from pages in Admin section if the folder for admin is (example: ADMIN) in GA account. They come up like /admin/mypage.aspx??? Or how???
Generally, I would like your opinion about it and if you are using this approch it in your current web application.

Although, I decided to install it on a subdomain of website but I had a problem in creating one. So, I was trying to install the Umbraco CMS in the blog folder of my webiste. i chose the Web Platform installer option from here : [URL]
On step 2, I opted to use an existing SQL Server Database. It asks for the username and password to access my application database. Screenshot:

Is there some default value for this authentication because I never set this username and password for my database :-/

I am using Label to display comments so in Csharp coding to display Comments on web page where One Default Image should be display , Name , Date , Comments .

1. Create a blog with content and images.
2. Category for blogs
3. Comments on each blog

I'm an ASP.NET newbie, but not so new at programming in general.
I'm creating a commercial website, and I want to allow an admin to add new articles (an article consists of text, images and various properties such as category).
I am trying to decide the optimal Modus Operandi. This site is commercial, so SEO is a major consideration. This means that I want each url to be "unique". That is, if someone navigates to an article about raccoons, he should be redirected to [URL]. This means - I can't have one page that loads the appropriate article dynamically a-la AJAX (gotta use deep-linking)
So how exactly do I do this? suppose the admin entered his text, uploaded the images and set the article properties. I create a new subfolder, save the images to the server (I understand that saving images to a DB is a big no-no), their addresses in a DB, and the content itself to the DB. But now what?
How do I go about creating the actual page?
Is there a function for creating a new aspx file? then what about its corresponding cs file? Or is it unwise to use aspx? Maybe plain html? but then how does it work with my site's master page? Or maybe just create another copy of a general aspx file which is populated with an article according to a parameter?
I fetched Blog Description and displayed on the ListView control when user search for the blog titlewise. But it is everything displaying on blog description. I want to display first 4/5 lines only and then it should display ..... [ continue ]

I've downloaded blog engine .NET and looked at the code and I like the way they do it, but it's completely an overkill of what I need. What I need is only a title, author, date, and the blog post it self. I don't even want users to post comments or anything like that. My approach is to save all those blog post information into an xml and then when a page loads it loops around those xml files to show the blog post.

I want to monitor the activities of all the folders present at "C:Inetpubftprootsan".User can work on any type of files and not only text files.Since we have given 1GB space (lets say) to each user, so user can do anything to utilize this space.
Now I want to monitor the activites that the user will do in his folder like creating new file, deleting an existing file or editing a file.I want to monitor user's activities because i have to keep track of the space given to the user so tht i can restrict the user to use 1GB space only and not more than that.
is there any class that i can use other than FileSystemWatcher as it works only in console applications and not in webapplications?

So my idea is to put the GA code in the bottom of the masterpage and in that way get it included into all pages. Is that a good idea to get the tracking right? Or might there be any problems of using this way?
Another thing is that I need to track conversion for a goal that I have setup in GA. I need to see the funnel, the pages leading to the goal. The problem is that these pages are actually the steps of a asp.net wizard control. What is the best way to track each step of the wizard control as individual steps in GA to reach the goal?
I would like my users to be able to login with their google account on my website. I understand the basics. I have to use oAuth, but what "scope" should I use? I just want to verify the user has a valid google account. Once authenticated with Google I will force them to create a nickname, etc.
But my problem is I have to create a RequestToken but what scope should i specify? In google's example it give my app the ability to access their google calendar but I don't need that.
