AJAX :: Accordion Control - Conditional HeaderTemplate To Show/hide?
Jul 10, 2010
I have a nested accordion control for categories and sub-categories with a gridview to display the data. What I am trying to do is to hide the "Header Template" when sub-category is "Not Defined" but the results are usually inconsistent and seems like if i define HeaderCssClass, HeaderSelectedCssClass declaratively then it overrides the conditional css styles defined in code (c#) for OnItemDataBound event whereas if I don't define declaratively then css in code is not consistent.
I am not sure how to approach this or if I am using the correct event for this.
In the code - I used label's forecolor proprtery to match to the background as a workaround for now but not happy with it.
I can set lblSubHeaderId.Visible = false; which works consistently but then I still have this predefined HeaderCssClass, HeaderSelectedCssClass which is still shown as a placeholder/ just a horizantal line for the headers where lblSubHeaderId is set to false.
I am using an accordion control in my web page. I am trying to hide the header of the active pane so users do not see the text in the header and only the text in the inactive pane is shown
If a user clicks the Header of the inactive pane then the Header of the first pane is shown ( as usual) but the header of the now open second pane should not be visible
Should this be done using java script (making us of the selectedIndexChanged event of the accordion or css.
If using Java script how can the header of an accordion pane be accessed.
ALTER procedure [dbo].[storeinfo1] @Behcode nvarchar(10) as begin select behcode,Name ,(select Behcode from House_p where BehCode=@Behcode) behcodeP from House_Info where BehCode=@Behcode end
I have image=>Productimage in product.aspx page I want if in House_p table there be my users behcode it do Productimage.visible=true
i.e
In House_info table exist user Sara with behcode=3333 her behcode isn't in House_p table so I want in product.aspx page ProductImage.visible=true
I've a detailedview and gridview in an accordion pane. Whenever I triggered some postback actions (e.g. delete some row in the gridview or edit the values in the detailedview), the content in the pane became empty. It would show up correctly if I resized the browser. This only happens in IE8, but work correctly in FireFox. Is this a problem of the browser, or can I improve my code to prevent this from happening? The following is my code
I have created Accordion control from database. so basically in the header section I have bind categories and in the panel Bind subcategories. basically now it's working fine. but the important thing what i have to do is if i selected a category on that time it's showing me subcategory in the accordion. but at the same time i have to show subcategory on another page. As well as i have to keep selected header true. Now not getting how to show subcategory on another page and as well as how to keep selected header true.
I have written a web usercontrol (ascx). Inside, there is a Panel that I want to show/hide on click of a hyperlink inside the usercontrol.
Normally, this is easy just by doing something like this (the onclick attribute is added to the hyperlink on prerender):
var PanelToShow = document.getElementById('<%=PanelInvoiceHasBeenCreated.ClientID %>'); if (PanelToHide != null) { PanelToHide.style.display = 'none'; }
but because the ascx control is held within the gridview, the above will assess all the controls (of which there are many in the gridview) with the name 'PanelInvoiceHasBeenCreated'. The only time it will work is when there is 1 row in the gridview. Currently, with my existing code, if I click the hyperlink in any row, it shows/hides the panel in the bottom row of the gridview!
Therefore, my question is how do I get the actual, unique ID I need to show/hide on the correct control in the correct row?
I would like to make a custom accordion, in which I have 2 panes, but where you couldn't open the second one until you clicked a validation button in the first one that would open the second...
I tried to just make a button that would hide the first pane but I cant get to make it work.
i am creating a menu which has the below structure. what i would like to do is use a jquery ui accordion control.
can i place an accordion in an accordion?... i.e. menu 1 expands out in an accordion and then the sub menus in menu 1 need to expand out in another accordion.
menu 1 sub menu of the menu 1 menu item menu item menu item sub menu of the menu 1 sub menu of the menu 1 menu 2 sub menu of the menu 2 menu item menu item menu item sub menu of the menu 2 sub menu of the menu 2
I have a button on my gridview that makes visible another gridview nested inside a column. What I want to do is to use the same button to hide it again. I can already make visible my nested gridview, and I know to hide the gridview itself would be the same code again. The problem I have is setting my flag in order to control which branch of my if statement is executed. I tried writing this inside the button event bool flag = false; and then changed it to ture after the gridview is shown, but of course it re sets itself to false again, and the else bit is never reach when you press the button again.
Is there away where I can persist a flag that when the button is pressed one branch of the if statement is reached, and when it is pressed again, the next branch is run? I do want to use JavaScript because the page is already overloaded with it!! I am using a template field with a button set inside it, and thus I wish to use code behind posting back to the server

Listview and findcontrol ans show and hide my panel.
I would like to show a faq-area with many questions and answers. If the page was load, i will show only the questions. Now the user can click the button show, then my panel must be visible = true and the answer of the clicked question was shown.
I am creating a function to hide all the gridview controls except the control whose name is being passed in the function.
Here this.Controls referes to controls present in the page (At compilation error is thrown although). I want to fetch all the controls of type GridView with Name property not equal to the one passed in the funtion.
Now after getting a collection of GridView. I want to hide all the grids
private void HideGridView(string gridToShow) { GridView[] result = from control in this.Controls where control.GetType() == typeof(GridView) && control.Name !=gridToShow select control as GridView; foreach (var control in result) control.Visible = false; }
At comile time it shows me this.Control as invalid because it is not a collection.
How can I achieve this on a web application
EDIT:
private void HideGridView(string gridToShow) { (from control in this.Controls.OfType<GridView> where control.Name !=gridToShow select control).ToList().ForEach(gv=>gv.Visible=false); }
Here is the code I wrote, shows me an error: GridView is a type but used like a variable (Compile time error). And at where Invalid Expression Term 'where'
I am making the asp.net application which consist of 6 form n based on user id pass want to show form e.g.: for admin all form appear for finance only 2 form appear when he enter his login id pass how can I?
Adding an Accordion only creates the outer most tags. I then have to add the headercssclass, contentcssclass etc. info. Then i have to manually add <Pane> tags, and then add Accordion Pane controls. Using VWDE 2008, is there a way to customize the control so that adding the Accordion control automatically adds this other info? Ideally with 2 Accordion Panes to start, but even just getting the various Accordion properties and the <Pane> tags added would make it much more <Pane>less!
I m using ajax accordion control to display the information of my company branches. Now it always displays one pane at a time. But i want that it should not display any pane at a time. Only a single pane should be displayed when user click on header of that pane.
I basically need some items in a grid however each item contains subitems so I need a +/- type button to show/hide them. Is there a control to do this or would it be easier to simply put them in a CSS table and use jquery or something similar to control the hide/show of subitems?
