I'm trying to create a filtered textboxExtender at run time , but it doesn't work.What can be wrong with the code ? Or is there any example usage of FilteredeTextBox at run time?
I looks like if you use the filteredtextboxextender control with number as the type some Mac browers don't let you paste text into the text box with the cmd+V. I have verified this with the filteredtextboxextender demo page.
i am using the filtered text box extender.I want to allow commas like "," but not possible with the code below.how do i change this to make commas acceptable?
I have an ASP.NET Label on my form, which is wrapped in an UpdatePanel. The UpdatePanel has two AsyncPostbackTriggers which reference two DropDownList controls. Based on the combination of selected items in both DropDownLists, I'm updating the Label. I also have a FilteredTextBoxExtender referencing an ASP.NET TextBox that's, by default, only allowing numbers. Now, along with updating the Label based on the combination of selected items from both DropDownLists, I'm also changing the FilteredTextBoxExtender's FilterType to Custom | Numbers and ValidChar to a hyphen, to allow both numbers and a hyphen (for phone numbers). Remember that I have both DropDownLists as AsyncPostbackTriggers for the UpdatePanel. This works perfectly fine doing a regular postback, but if I add those two DropDownLists as AsyncPostbackTriggers, the FilteredTextBoxExtender is not working properly based on the FilterType and ValidChar properties. It only allows just Numbers, which is the default. Is there anyway around this without having to do a regular full postback?
I have a problem with adding programatically FilteredTextBoxExtender (i put the code below).
The problem is that nothing is outputed when page is renedered although TextBox and FilteredTextBoxExtender are added to container (table cell controls property in my case).
We're currently using FTEs to filter input on our registration. New business model wants to explore foreign markets, and I have not been able to figure out how to get the FTEs to accept foreign language characters.
How can I validate a Boundfield in gridview that changes to textbox dynamically?the boundfield is
<asp:BoundField DataField="quantity" HeaderText="quantity" /> and it chenges to textbox in code belowI want only number (1,2,3,...) in it not text. protected void CartGrid_RowUpdating(object sender, GridViewUpdateEventArgs e) {
I need to filter user input into a textbox - as the user inputs the text (as opposed to examining the textbox on the textchanged event) The FilteredTextboxExtender does the trick, but there is a catch. I want to add formatting (currency) AFTER all of the input is collected in the textbox. The "FilteredTextboxExtender " prevents this from happening. This extender does have a property "Filtermode" which can be set to either "ValidChars" or "InvalidChars" at design time, but I do not know if it can be set at runtime.
Any solutions would be most appreciated. I am also open to other solutions to the problem - which is : do not allow chars other than numeric into the textbox, until the textbox has lost focus, at which time, currency formatting is to be applied.
I have an ASP.NET form with several update panels. All works great.I use a timer and have it handle some periodic upates. That works correctly too. However, I appear to get an error when I leave the page open running in the debugger. Specifically the above JScript error 12030.I'm not clear how to find the source but I assume it is because my page has logged out. If I refresh I go back to my login page.So, does this sound like the cause? If so, how to I address this?

Modal not showing up when show is called, also error on loading page. Attaching code below, can anyone help me discover my syntax / logic issues here?
NOTE: Did some research on this before posting, some claimed it can be an issue of where the modal is placed on the page in relation to the update panel I am using. I have tried different placements of the modal extender and I also tried removing the update panel all together in hopes to at least see the modal show, no go...same issue. So with that, the issue shouldnt be around the use of the update panel...
Here is the error: icrosoft JScript runtime error: Sys.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: elements
Newbie in using AJAX . Programming in C# and using SQL as a database. Here is my scenario. User selects a project and I want to display the subprojects related to that project. Here is the query I use to retrieve subprojects.
"SELECT SubProjectName,StartDate,Description FROM SubProject WHERE ProjectName'"+ddlProjectName.text+"';
Currently I store the results of the query in a Dataset. I want to get the SubProjectName in the Header of the Accordion and StartDate and Description values to the text box for each accordion. ( This is what I need to do in each accordian for each subproject)
I've inherited some code that is having a serious problem. On one page, there are several pairs of "Yes"/"No" checkboxes that act like pairs of radio buttons through the use of the ACT MutuallyExclusiveCheckBoxExtender control. They work as expected. However, when I navigate away from the page, I get a "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method." error in the dynamically-generated ScriptResource.ax...c2d9970 [dynamic] file.
The specific method in the dynamically-generated code is: var $removeHandler = Sys.UI.DomEvent.removeHandler = function Sys$UI$DomEvent$removeHandler(element, eventName, handler)
The element is set to any of the checkbox controls (I've removed them one-by-one and it happens to ALLof them) and the eventName is "Click". I gather from the code that it's trying to do a removeHandler before the addHandler for the particular element has taken place. True, I don't have any explicit addHandler lines in my code, but I don't any explicit removeHandler lines either. About all I've got in the aspx code is: [Code] ....
The formatting of the code in this message is a bit weird, but it's basically a simple table with three columns. On each row, there's text in the first column, the checkboxes in the second column and a button in the third. I've searched high and low on the web and nearly every thread I read about his error talks about it in relationship to the use of command buttons in an ACT UpdatePanel.
I used the following function in my ASP.Net Project (which contains ajax controls)
[Code]....
Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled.
I searched online for solution and got to know its the problem of asp.net ajax. None of solutions (that I found like Add EnableViewState=false, etc.) worked for me.
To demonstrate my issue in ver simple. I have a button in Ajax updatepanel section. When i try to call the script from button click event i am getting the following error.
[Code]....

My error code is..

I have have two radio button lists that need to be mutally exculisve, i.e when one is clicked the other one neesd to be cleared, my further problem is beause they are in a formview I had to add handlers to clear all the controls in the other list when the one is clicked and vice versa. here is the code below Now the code works but one of the testers found that if you click back and forth around twenty times you get the above java error:
Exception message: Maximum request length exceeded
my though here is the handler is being added to many times ? but even if I remove the handler after the process is complete I still get the same error.
