I am using AjaxContrToolKit (AjaxControlToolkit.Compat.DragDrop.DragDropScripts.js) in my application to provide the drag and drop facility . After implementing the same in the application , observed that working fine in IE and Firefox browser . But the same is not working in Safari and WebKit (Chrome and Safari) browser . In these browsers(both Safari and Webkit), while clicking on the top of the panel getting scrolled up .
I have the above. It works fine in IE & FF but in chrome 1) if more rows grid appears out of panel without scroll bar (same works fine in IE & FF)2) when clicked any where the grid disappears or close but in IE & FF it closes only on cmdclose...
I'm developing a web app (.NET 3.5 + C#) and i would like it to have a drag 'n drop file upload feature. But i have absolutely no idea on how to do such thing :-/
Can anyone tell me were to start? Some tutorial, some AJAX control, etc...
After the implementation of ajax drag and drop, we have observed that which is working fine in IE and Firefox and not in chrome and safari, In Google chrome and Safari when we try to drag a module, the page getting scrolling to the top of the page.
it goes back to the orignial position on dragging if i use the style property , it does move but not as desired even with the click it movesdown nt able to deag and place as where needed.
I am a designer prototyping applications. At the moment I want to show in my prototype that a drag panel opens and it belongs to a tab.
Two questions: How can I make a drag panel belong to a tab?
Should that be too complicated code wise (i am a designer - not a developer...): Can I position the drag panel on opening for the first time?So far, my drag panel always opens in the top left corner in my browser. I tried positioning it with CSS but it just ignores that.
In our application we have drag panel extender work along with Resizable panel extender. We have a requirement where in we need to have a panel that can be dragged also along with resize. This is our implementation.
When we move the panel and try to pin it to a position (click) we get a javascript error. It is bcoz of Resizablepanel since the position got changed, drag panel not able to get the position.
i am having trouble catching errors in an AJAX panel. Even when i throw an exception in the c# code behind the front end completely ignores it. Here is the code i have setup, can anyone see why? I ideally want to show a js alert window on error.
Looking for the best technique on handling or at least some documentation showing an example.
Starting Page
Gridview control withing an update panel (also various controls used for filtering NOT IN UPDATE PANEL)
Databinding does not happen during page load.
Databinding is initiated when update panel trigger (asp:Button object) is clicked
Hyperlink column is added to returned records
Hyperlink posts to a separate page for detail for record which the hyperlink was clicked.
Second Page
While navigating via the browser back button to previous page (which contained the update panel and gridview) only the (various controls used for filtering) have retained state. The gridview is not shown (which is how the page loads initially when starting) How can I retain the state of the Gridview and add a step in the browser history all together?
Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.
I've seen many articles about dragging files INTO a browser, but none about dragging files FROM the browser to a windows application or the desktop/windows-explorer.
I'm looking for a cross-browser solution but IE8 is our main browser. If I create a link in a web page and then drag that link from the page into Microsoft Word, it inserts a link. However, if that link is pointing at a PDF document, I would like it to embed the PDF doc inside the Word doc, as if I'd dragged it from Windows Explorer, into MS Word. Is that possible?
I've even tried pointing the link at an ASP page which returns "application/pdf" data but I still just get a link in my word doc so I suspect that links are the wrong way to go.
I have use fckeditor in asp.net. When user open the page containing fckeditor in Chrome. User can resize the text area of fckeditor. I want to prevent this.i.e.user should un-enable to resize the text area.
I have an application including an Asp:menu. This renders perfectly in both IE and Firefox, see screenshot gf1.jpg.
Running in Chrome the rendering is bad. There is added wide space in the top menu, so the area is much wider, and thereby not correct. See gf2.jpg.
I have tried using this workaround found by surfing, but it is still the same. Can I add some additional code, that will prevent this?
Code: If Request.UserAgent.IndexOf("Chrome") > 0 Then If Request.Browser.Adapters.Count > 0 Then Request.Browser.Adapters.Clear() Response.Redirect(Page.Request.Url.AbsoluteUri) End If End If
I want it to be displayed equally in IE, Firefox and Chrome....
I would like to ask we select a file in our system and drag that file into browser, drop that file into particular location of the browser at that time the file is to upload.
